This convenient unit features sharp, straight blades that create a 3/8" slice and allow you to quickly cut through tomatoes and other items without pre-scoring the skin. Perfect for tomatoes up to 3 1/2" in size, this unit allows you to cut slices 5 times faster than by hand, making the Tomato Pro a great addition to high volume restaurants, fast food establishments, and other commercial kitchens.
The slicer is mounted on top of a raised, high density polyethylene base that is resistant to corrosion and designed for constant contact with tomato acids. Simply core your tomato, place it on the unit, and push the slicer through the fruit! And, thanks to the positive-stop arm, it's easy to keep the slicer study while slicing.

This tomato slicer is useless right out of the box. It does not finish the cut and the tomato gets caught on the blade and rips and tears. Also when you reach out to return it because it's defective and poorly designed webstaurant will tell you to reach out to the company directly to get your money back. Do not buy.

I was kind of forced to make this purchase from a chef who has since retired. I was skeptical of its capabilities before I got it and wish I wouldn't have. Its very sharp the first few weeks and works ok but as soon as the blades begin to dull, it mashes the product to the point of ruined. I don't even use it anymore and don't let any of the other cooks use it either. Unless you work at a cheap burger joint and buy semi ripe tomatoes that wont bruise, pass on this and invest in a good knife.
