Welcome to this introduction to the Giles Food Service Equipment GBF 50 Bank Fryer. My name is Dave Bromley, and I am a services and technical service manager for Giles Food Service Equipment. Now you'll notice the number is on this label. This label also has your serial number, and it references your warranty. All of these units come standard with a two-year parts and labor warranty. This particular GBF is available as a single-bank fryer. These are 50-pound pots. You can get as a single, a double as shown here, or a three-bank fryer. They come with an onboard filter filtration system. The filter system will be in one of the units as here. Both of these units drain into the same tank.

You filter one unit at a time, and even if it had a third bank, it would also go into that same one. These units have optional basket lifts, or you can get them standard, where you would just take the basket and put it on a hanger. They are also available with one single basket as opposed to the two baskets that you see here. When you get this new unit, you will also receive a crumb shovel. This is used for removing the crumbs from the filter pan when you filter the oil.

You'll get three brushes, an L-shaped brush used to clean around the heat elements. This is a drain brush for cleaning in the drain. And then we have a pot brush with high-heat bristles to help handle that temperature of that hot oil. This is used for cleaning around the sides when you filter that oil.

Additionally, you will get a discharge wand with an insulated handle and this spout, this quick connect, which when used will connect into this larger quick connect on the unit, and then you'll drop your oil down, it'll go through the filtration process, and then you can put it into jugs or an oil caddy such as the Giles oil caddy.

You will notice down here that's a little red cap. That red cap must be removed when you get your new fryer, and then the tag that tells you to remove that cap, go ahead and clip that wire tie. If you do not clip the wire tie, this little white ring does not want to work right, and it won't capture this quick connect when put in there.
