Okay, well what we got here is this big bad boy. This is a half barrel keg, and you're always going to want to make sure that you get the correct pump to match. This is an American D system pump that we're going to attach to this keg, but first things first. Got to get this baby cold. Let's get on some ice.

Alright, while our friend here is getting cold, there's one other thing to note. We got to make sure this beer is settled as possible. So if it's been agitated, we've been rocking it back and forth, moving it, we should give it a couple hours before tapping.

Now, before we tap our keg, let's take our tap and this little lever here, we need to make sure it's in the off position. So, in order to do that, we're going to lift up and pull back, and then we're ready. It's very important.

Alright, let's get tip-tapping here. First, we're going to remove this dust cover, get that off. And we're going to line up the grooves there in the coupler of the party pump into the grooves of the keg tap. So, we'll place it on in there, line it up, and we'll turn it until it's snug. And then, we'll take our little lever here, pull out, push down. Now we're ready to drink.

Before we pump the keg though, let's get the foam out, because I don't want a foamy beer. The first few pours are going to be lots of foam, so we're going to pour and dump. So, once the beer starts dispensing clearly and starts slowing down, you can pump the tap four to five times, and that'll be enough to dispense proper beer.

As the time goes on that you're dispensing beers, you'll start noticing more slow down, and you just give it two to three pumps and keep dispensing beer. And that's how you tap a keg. Cheers.
