Do I have to use filtered water with this machine?
For best results, use only filtered water when using the sous vide circulator to prevent scale buildup or damage.
To descale the machine, pour filtered water into the container up to the "MAX" line. Add 5 mL of any food-grade vinegar, then turn on the machine. Set the working temperature to 176 degrees Fahrenheit (80 degrees Celsius) and the working time to 3 hours, then press "START/STOP." Once the cycle is complete, confirm that the machine is clean, rinse it with fresh filtered water, and dry it thoroughly. It is recommended to perform this process weekly to maintain optimal performance.
