Town 56822 50 Cup (25 Cup Raw) Electric Rice Cooker / Warmer - 120V, 1700W

Probably the worst rice cooker I've ever had the displeasure of using. No matter the amount of rice it's never cooked even. Big mushy pockets along with pockets of entirely raw rice. Save your money and buy something else.

Very disappointed with this rice cooker. It is not possible to cook the full amount of cups suggested (37 cups) as the upper layer of the rice comes out undercooked when the rice below is fully cooked. The very bottom of the pan creates a very thick layer of soccarat/crispy rice that is not even scrapable. Very uneven temperature. This purchase was a waste of money. Would NOT recommend.

So disappointed that the manufacturer only has enough confidence for a 6 month warranty. Ours only lasted 9 months and just stopped heating. Ridiculous!!!

I would advise staying away from this product!! This product does not cook rice evenly... It creates 3 different layers of mushy, uncooked and raw rice even when I only cooked only about 1/4 - 1/3 of its capacity. I followed the steps in the manual looked up many different videos and tried multiple times just to waste bags of rice. I contacted the customer support but manufacturer does not provide any refund options and only offers repair under its warranty. Based on my experience and other reviews, it seems like this is not the first time this product gave poor results. Please just stay away from this product to save your money.

We purchased this cooker few months back and ever since we got it its been cooking the rice unevenly. We reached out to townfood and after a few exchanges with the manager David they stop responding. Please stay away from this product and company.

This electric rice cooker is the equivalence of the gas 110 cup rice cooker. It cooks the rice in about 40-45 minutes and its large portions. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A DIFFERENT PLUG ITS A 6-20P NEMA PLUG VERY VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE STANDARD- ADAPTERS DO NOT WORK WITH IT.

This has been the best rice cooker I have bought and I have bought several different brands of rice cookers. It doesn’t cook great full 37 cup so great but little bit smaller batch it does great. With the extra watts the rice steams out very nice.

I love these rice cookers, although we don't cook the rice in them. We use these to keep our rice warm. the rice stays warm and moist.

Ive had the Rice Mater Town 56824 for 7 months and have had an extremely bad experience with not only the product but the customer service. This cooker has not worked properly since day 1. Each time I use the device the inconstancy in the quality of the rice, post cook has dramatically impacted our restaurant operations.

it is 230V you need to buy a step up transformer and it didn't work. Also wrong power information. And $ restocking fees. What's a shame! DON'T BUY THIS!

I first had a good impression about this TOWN brand because I see that they make the gas rice cooker and the company has been around for a long time. Also, I got trick by their pricing. Their rice cooker is twice as expensive as the Panasonic one. I thought it must be good. Do not fall for it! Warning! Their two year warranty is USELESS! We have used this the last couple of years. It consistently gives us a great steamed rice. We can max the machine with 15 cups of raw white/basmati or jasmine rice. Yield about 50 cups of cooked rice.

this rice cooker is awesome. its huge , it last so so long, it has a measuring stripe inside of pot for accuracy. it also is great for preparing tapioca, small or large batches.

dont even bother this ricecooker is not good it burn the rice and is very to wash it we sent it back

I love this rice cooker!!! I don’t know how they measure cups of rice but this one cooks about 14 cups (measured with a regular measuring cup) of raw rice. This rice cooker is highly recommended

Great product and easy to set up, use and clean. Has a different plug so make sure you have wiring correct for United States electrical plugs.

overall im happy with the product.. Tried it for the first time to cook 22 cups of rice and it cooks perfectly. The only thing is that the rice at the bottom half seems to be a little mushier than the one on top. But I think this could be fixed by stirring it half way throughout the cooking process.

I was skeptical because of the brand but I am impressed now. It works well with my sushi rice and it is big and easy to clean. I only use it to cook the rice not as a warmer.

It is a good cooker. However please be advised It is not possible to cook the full amount of cups suggested (37 cups). I would say 25-30 is more realistic

I don't know why I waited so long for a large rice cooker. I only cooked about 25 cups max at a time so that the rice isn't too mushy.

We make a lot of rice in our restaurant and need something that can keep up. We have had some issues with needing the cooker replaced, but webstaurant has always been easy to work with.

We have purchased multiple of these. They do end up flaking out on us. We believe its because of our volume, but unfortunately this is the largest electric rice cooker I can find.
