Southbend BGLM-30_LP Details

Cook meats, vegetables, sauces, and soups safely and efficiently with this Southbend BGLM-30 30 gallon liquid propane tilting braising pan / tilt skillet! This gas-heated, heavy-duty skillet features a large, 30-gallon capacity designed for creating large batches of grilled, sauteed, seared, or simmered foods in fast-paced commercial kitchens. This item is made with durable stainless steel, including a 304 stainless steel liner and a satin-finish, 10 gauge, type 304 stainless steel braising pan with a sloped front, a polished interior, and coved corners for easy cleaning. The pan is front-hinged for smooth, manual tilting with pour control, and it features a removable pour strainer that directs food into hotel pans and storage containers using the unit's receiving pan support. The braising pan is mounted on a stainless steel exterior that is supported by a heavy-duty, welded 1 5/8" stainless steel pipe frame with adjustable legs that include adjustable bullet feet on the front legs, and flange-adjustable feet on the back legs, both with a range of 1 1/4", for secure floor mounting.

To ensure consistent results every time you cook, this tilt skillet is heated with stainless steel atmospheric burners with an intermittent, electronic pilot ignition. It also features 3/4" triple-ply construction with a 3/8" thick aluminum core for even heat distribution across its 33 1/2" x 23 1/2" cooking surface. It also features a permanently lubricated, self-contained gearbox tilt mechanism with a full-width, front tilt handle that makes it easy to manually raise and lower the braising pan to empty its contents. The unit's intuitive controls include a thermostat with an OFF position, a thermostat indicator light, and a temperature range of 100 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit (38 to 232 degrees Celsius).

This tilt skillet is topped with a spring-assisted stainless steel cover that contains heat and steam. It features a no-drip condensate guide for a clean, safe work space, etched gallon markings for easy measuring, and a 4" vent port with a swing cover. For enhanced safety, this tilt skillet features a pan-tilt switch that shuts off the unit's burners if the pan is tilted more than 5 degrees, and a high-temperature cut-off set at 500 degrees Fahrenheit (260 degrees Celsius), ensuring safe and precise operation. For added versatility and customization when creating delicious meals, this unit is compatible with select Southbend valves, faucets, strainers, brackets, and other accessories (sold separately). This item is also AGA- and CGA-certified. This gas-powered 1-phase tilt skillet generates 100,000 BTU of power, it features a 6' power cord, and it requires a 115V electrical connection for operation. This item is ideal for use in commercial kitchens for reliable, high-performance cooking day after day!

Frequently Asked Questions From Customers

My business is at a high elevation; does this change anything when I order gas cooking equipment?
Many gas equipment manufacturers need to make adjustments to the equipment so it operates correctly at elevations over 2,000 feet. Sometimes we can special order from the manufacturer and have your cooking equipment delivered ready-to-go, but in cases where your unit is in stock and waiting to ship, you’ll need to have a qualified service technician come to your location and alter your unit at the time of installation so that it is compatible with a higher elevation. Contact our Special Orders team prior to placing your order, and we will let you know what will work best for the equipment you are planning to purchase.
