Many people here seem to have had issues installing, but I got them in no problem. They are meant to be very tight in order to support the torque, so you have to mount your pole/rod with a clamp or vice (etc) and hammer in with a metal hammer (not a rubber one like I read someone else did). I was very hesitant to order these based on some of the reviews, but after getting them and installing I found that those 2 star reviews were likely operator errors rather then the part not fitting. Works great, you just need to be a bit handy with tools.

Four stars because they do work, but as the other reviewer said they don't fit easily. It was a process to hammer them into place on a work bench. In hindsight, I would have ordered the stainless ones even though I have green epoxy legs because the epoxy coating made them even thicker and more difficult to hammer in place.

The Regency chrome nut will not fit the Regency shelving posts. I have tried to tap the nut in with a rubber mallet without any luck. The Regency chrome nut is simply too big in diameter for the shelving post. I now effectively have shelving posts and feet that I can't use as the chrome nut doesn't fit.

Making some custom shelves to fit in a bay window. Ordered these to help close the gap under the window and to get them level. They do NOT fit the posts I had to end up hammering these in and stressing out the bottoms of the posts a result that wasn't as clean as I would have liked.

This product works great with the Regency Feet for Shelving Posts! Very easy to install. Overall a great value and works well with the entire Regency shelving system.

These fit into the same brand posts as expected. If you have posts that are now listed correctly listed as mobile, and want to turn them into stationary with feet, this piece works. This piece also works to connect two posts to make a taller post (not recommended unless shelf will be well secured and not used for anything heavy). By placing this piece in the top of a post and using a threaded stud 3/8-16 between the two posts. I like that the thread on the feet is standard enough that I can buy threaded studs and other threaded hardware that works with these.

These works fine. I can drive a big nail in wood with a hammer. Thats about the equivalent effort needed to drive these inserts. You MUST use a steel hammer. First tap it until it just just starts to bind in place. Then wack it HARD. Yes it may fly across the room if you hit it wrong. Try again until it seats. Hit around the edge to work it it. THE INSERT IS PROPERLY MADE. No insult intended, but try to get someone that can safely swing a hammer HARD, to drive these in. Get a friend (Contractor, craftsman, mechanic) to do it if you've never driven a big nail.

As the other reviews indicate, these do not fit into the regency poles. Tried using a rubber mallet but no luck.
