I haven't owned a tea pot before so I am comparing it with not having one. I'm really glad I got it. I like the shape and color of it and it was carefully packaged to arrive safely. I don't think it's very drop proof. The lid on top is designed to stay in place while pouring and while this is likely a standard feature for teapots since forever I liked it.
