We have been using this excellent coffee in our espresso coffee drinks for several months - and with wonderful results!! Our customers comment frequently that we have "MUCH better coffee than those chain shops" and are now big fans and repeat buyers. It has a smooth, non "over roasted" taste and no negatives. I am going to keep ordering this coffee - for the quality and the price, can't be beat.

I received my order 2 days ago. I was anxious to give it a try. I found the bag was extremely difficult to open, but I understand it's to preserve product integrity. When I finally did get the bag open & was able to smell the aroma of the coffee beans, I wasn't sure what to make of it, the aroma wasn't like other coffees I gave purchased. I ground up some beans and brewed them up. Upon my first sip, I must confess I was not impressed, I thought, just another "average" coffee. But this is nit the case! Love this coffee. My customers drive 20 miles to grab coffee from our bakery. They absolutely love the fact there is no aftertaste or bitterness.

This Crown brand Emperor decaf perfect Coffee bean was our final choice to be our main coffee bean for our daily sales, we had to trial and error some other brands and we find this to the perfect one.

There is nothing special about this coffee, it truly is middle-of-the-road in the roast and taste. It is not horrible like gas station coffee, but not as good as 8`o` clock coffee bought at any grocer. This grade of coffee is average priced also. You are not getting a deal with this coffee, you are getting what you paid for. 2.5 stars

I use these Emperor decaf beans to make decaf homemade COLD BREW! The decaf beans taste fresh and not bitter at all. I am pretty impressed.

This is a medium roast coffee bean and is great! Good flavored coffee and cost was great. Not only do we make money but we are able to give our customers good prices!

I was using the ellis whole beans from here for awhile, I tried a case of this, none of my customers noticed. So now I'm saving lot's of money stocking this coffee!

This coffee is a great value. It is not bitter when finely ground, and it tastes fresh. Keep beans fresh in tightly sealed storage containers.

Not a huge fan of this, it works in a pinch. Very acidic and too dark tasting.

This box of coffee is such a great deal! For the price, the blend is great too. We use this in our commercial coffee machine at our church, and our congregation really does seem to enjoy this blend. It is our most popular on Sunday mornings. The value of this deal is hard to beat. I give it two thumbs up!

This whole bean coffee is kind of more medium roast than dark, but it has a nice even taste. It's not the best decaf coffee around, but for the price and quantity it's a really good deal. It's best to grind it within a day or two of using it, to keep it freshest.

this decaf coffee is a particularly sweet roast that I thoroughly enjoyed when used for espresso shots. tastes great when used for drip coffee or lattes. good value for the price.

Solid, affordable coffee. Came well packaged and, at least for the bag we've used already, the coffee was oily and seemed pretty fresh. Folks have really liked the brew so far, and since it's so inexpensive brewing strong has been a no brainer.

this is workingman's morning coffee...stout blunt and a bit rough.....there is no subtlety or finesse to this coffee but its got what is usually identified as 'body' in mass quantity coffees.....its the kind of coffee i drink every day and have for years but its not the kind of coffee i prefer.....i prefer a really good complex subtle coffee and i know it when i taste it, but i don't come across it very often

We brew this drip style 16:1, and it delivers excellent acidity for budget coffee. The flavor holds up well enough black, as well as with milk/cream/etc. We brewed a few 2:1 shots of espresso and it's easily passable for milk drinks and it is easily acceptable for most straight espresso drinkers. If you want a budget bean that can do lots of things, this is a good contender!

Delicious coffee! Our customers love it. The dark roast has a wonderful flavor and people are always asking for more of this fresh tasting coffee.

Emperors Finest whole bean coffee is a great mainstay for the restaurant that wants a coffee with substantial flavor at an affordable price. We like it so much that we also drink it at home.

If could give it a zero star I would. The beans taste like they were roasted years ago. Sour flavor, no depth, old tasting. Do not recommend.

The royal reserve Guatemalan dark roast whole bean coffee is probably my favorite one only because i enjoy darker coffee. It has a great quality taste and brews clean and neat.

I’ve been purchasing my coffee from restaurant depot for years, but I wanted to try a more bodied coffee for my customers so I chose this blend. Very standard coffee bean that appeals to both weak and strong drinkers, the beans are not oily at all.

It is what I needed and it works fine. The price is very affordable and the quality is good. The package is clean and organized. customer service is good.

This coffee is very good and consistent; my wife loves drinking it, and it's not expensive. It's been a while since I've had to buy coffee because of this.

We weren't very impressed with these beans. They did the job, but we ended up blending them out with a new roasters blend just to use them up!

I cannot recommend this coffee to anyone. The beans appear dry and old, and the flavor is very sour. The package does not list the country of origin, type of beans, or roast date.

I was really hesitant to buy this beans I mean the price till I tried it was great when u get daily consumption of certain products like coffee ull need to look for the right price without jeopardizing the flavor specifically coffee u don’t have to worry about this one buy it with ur eyes closed.

This is nice for the price, I always use a bit more of this then I do my old brand but I think it has a bolder flavor once I get the ratio right, its good but I may keep looking for what is just right for me

Empire coffee is a very low grade. I will not be ordering any more.. Are y'all get a lot better quality from a local roaster. My local customers and Europeans rave about the coffee I use now.

Crown has always been a good too for a basic drink coffee for us. Never any complains, decent freshness for a huge bulk company. Fairly pleasant aroma and smooth finish. Lets be honest you're average coffee drinker wouldnt be able to tell the difference between this and craft coffee and sometimes honestly would prefer this, which is half the price per lb than gourmet coffees.

I don't drink coffee myself. I got this for a friend who usually buys the #10 can of other brand coffee thinking this would be much better. She said she ground it and used it in the same way she does the the other brand. She claims it was much stronger and contained more caffeine then what she is used too. After some quantity adjustments she tuned in her preferences and now purchases it instead of the pre ground in a can.

Very nice aroma before and while brewing. Oily bean but not too oily. Definitely a good buy for brewed coffee or use as an espresso
