Great caramel dip just takes a long time to melt

This caramel did not stick to any of the apples I bought. I ended up having to do chocolate covered apples for my vendor event at a private school here in Gainesville, Fl. I did my research and this Carmel had the best ratings. Unfortunately, I am with a handful of people that reviewed it as the worst caramel they've ever used. The caramel never melted properly. I even bought the soup warmer. They suggested me to buy along with it. I wasted well over $.

We make our own caramel to use in turtles and salted caramels. However, we use this to make caramel apples with. It's surprisingly tasty caramel...and perfect for the apples.

Makes great caramel apples. Customers love the product. Only downside is that it takes about 2 hours to fully melt in order to dip the apples.

Love the taste of the caramel. You need to research the correct warmer for this. The one i got on here was not the best, i had to warm it hours before i needed it and it laid the caramel on quite thick. Do your reasearch and find the right warmer or youll waste product like i did. Would buy again!

Ordered this for a caramel apple bar at a catering event. The dip took excessively long to melt, more than stated in the instructions. This caused issues with timing and serving, though the taste was good.

Was very hard for it to get to its temperature. Took 5 hours, but when it did I got beautiful Caramel Apples.

Bought these for our home haunt and it worked great! Took alil trial and error but we figured it out quick and had fun making the apples. Flavor and consistancy is really good! We buy again!

The best caramel you can buy! It’s the best for caramel apples! We will not be using any other caramel again. Very tasty and easy to use.

We use this caramel to make our jumbo gourmet caramel apples. I recommend watching the video and using the Avantco 300 soup warmer. If I crank it up it takes right around 2 hours to melt the caramel. Be careful heating with the lid because the condensation will water down your caramel. I usually cover the caramel with foil. This caramel is very thick and spinning to get the excess off will cramp your fingers if you’re making jumbo apples. I usually spin and use an offset spatula to scrape excess caramel off the bottom. Set your apples on a silpat mat to make it easier to remove. Our customers love these apples and I can’t keep up with the demand.

Yum! Extremely thick. The taste is delicious. If you can get the temp correct it isn't difficult to use. We used it for making caramel apples and topped it with crushed nuts. Tasty!

The taste of this caramel apple dip is excellent. It tastes like quality caramel. I find it difficult to get it the right temperature so it doesn't get too hard.

The caramel we purchased with this company has been only positive feedback. Our caramel apples came out super delicious...we have also made chocolate covered clusters with and without chocolate. We have sold the clusters only caramel and pecans, because the customers preferr the taste of the caramel.

This caramel is amazing! no more standing over a hot stove stirring caramel for me! This one taste greats and cut the prep time in half!

Ok, so I did a lot of research on which caramel dip to buy and I will say that I was VERY happy with this purchase. Let me break down the things that I searched long and hard for and couldn't find. 1- About ONE #10 can will cover 75 snacking size apples (or about 60 regular sized apples). I chose snacking apples because they are less intimidating for folks at an event to eat than a regular large sized apple. 2- The reviews are correct- it will take close to 4 hours for this guy to melt if you are doing it over the stove in a pot of water. This dip was easy to use and had a really great flavor! My apples came out perfect and delicious will be purchasing this product again!

This stuff is pretty thick and it's great for caramel apples. Smells delicious and holds well on the apples. You have to open the can and really dig it out or melt it in hot water first but we usually just scoop it out and then microwave it when we need softer. It's cheaper than other brands out there and tastes delicious.

Super convenient and soooo easy to use to make dipped gourmet apples! Saves the trouble of melting caramels or cooking condensed milk! Definitely will be ordering more!

This is a big can of thick caramel, it was too thick for covering apples and we ended up putting it on top ice cream. Very hard to get out of the can

Great for caramel apples! We dipped a bunch last fall. I used a crock pot but it'd probably be better in a warmer. Will order again for this fall.

Very good product for making caramel apples. They are always a hit in our store in the fall. The kids in the neighborhood can never get enough of them.

Like this caramel sauce, however don’t use it for caramel apples any more. It takes too long to soften, so we let it melt on the stove and use it in any of our bake items that call for caramel. Great taste, good price??

Very good item and it lasts a very long time. It’s kinda hard to get out that can I run hot water over a big spoon and dig it out then I heat it on the store and dip apples ??.
