WARNING! DO NOT BUY FOR BAKING! We tried this honey on several of our baked good recipes that we have been making for over 35 years, and every single dough that this honey touched it RUINED. We’re not just talking slightly less rise, it literally makes dough look likes it melting. Not sure what’s in the “formulation” of Monarch’s Baker’s Special Honey, but I would not recommend using it for anything baked. We bought 6 buckets of this and ended up wasting hundreds of dollars in dough and labor just giving it a shot. See photos for evidence of what this honey does to dough.

Excellent packaging. This thing could have been dropped from 30,000 feet and started intact. Obviously it's heavy. Easy to open with a closeable opening. Color is medium on a dark/light scale and taste exactly like honey. No frills here, just standard restaurant honey. I'm adding an image of it in a jar for color.

DO NOT BUY this special honey!!! Upon reading the reviews on Baker's Special Honey I went ahead and ordered it. As soon as I opened the bucket it smelled like molasses,, not even a hint of honey at all. It has a very strong flavor and smell of molasses. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried it on a few of my recipes, It definitely change the flavor, consistency and of course the color of my recipes. I DO NOT recommend this as honey but rather as a molasses.

Great value, happy with my purchase. BUT very difficult to pour!!! I don't recommend using the pour spout - I tried that 1st and honey oozed out all over the lid - what a a mess. I found it better to just remove the lid and pour into smaller more manageable containers.

This was purchased for my partners baking needs. When I had let them complete most of the container undecided to experiment. I converted the food grade container with a new lid into a fermenter and used what honey was left to make Mead. It will ferment and produces a dark rich complex mead.

Wow this is excellent honey! I purchased this honey for making mead. After reading on mead forums that people were hesitant to use bulk honey like this I chose to give it a shot anyhow, and I am impressed. Great tasting, perfect consistency and excellent sugar content. Couldn't be happier.

Love having the honey, in a large container, this makes it easy when I need it. It’s a little hard to pour it. It’s very heavy. I still like it better than the smaller containers.

Odd smelling, not a good honey smell or flavor. It may be okay as a sugar substitute but other than that, not impressed. I will give it a try in a small batch of mead.

I've been making mead for just over a year. I was purchasing local honey from someone related to a coworker. This honey far surpassed what he was supplying me. The taste is phenomenal and the price is unbelievably low. This a great tasting honey that works very well for mead. Will be buying more of this... I've already went through two 60lb tubs.

If you use a lot of honey and you want to save money, I would recommend that you purchase it from Webstaurant. This is your standard grade honey but, it is a lot less expensive here compared to my other suppliers. The texture is smooth and the quality is very good. It is thick and tastes great. I would purchase this again.

I've bought about 4 of these 60lb buckets (orange blossom) for home-brewing over the past 3 years. A few notes on this honey: The mead you can make with this isn't at all bad and is totally drinkable, but wont knock your socks off. As a primary sugar source for brewing it is adequate. As a secondary sugar source, such as for cysers, braggots, and pyments, or to augment higher-quality honeys, it is extremely hard to beat for flavour and price. I would strongly recommend this to those wanting to get into mead, as it's a VERY economical source of honey to use as you dial in your technique and learn the craft. I would also recommend this to established home-brewers, again as an economical option for experiments or to just have around. FYI this stuff make a dang good hydromel - shoot for 6% abv, back-sweeten, and balance the acidity with lime juice.

Very reliable. The orders are shipped promptly and arrive within couple of days undamaged. I wish they had a storage place in the south USA. The shipping cost is prohibitive for small orders.

Started making mead about 39 years ago. I tried 4 batches with the wildflower honey, but it was just too dark for lighter meads. Change back to this beautiful golden clover instead.

Though this product is listed as "wildflower honey," and when opened it "looks" like wildflower honey, it DOES NOT have the flavor that it should have, and has artificial coloring that separates when the honey is added to liquid. My recomendation... BUY LOCAL!

We have used this honey in BAKING and SAUCES and it has been wonderful! No issues with our baking or needed alterations in recipes. The price beats costco!

I purchased this honey to use in body scrubs, and I can't keep it from crystallizing and making my scrubs rock hard! I've had to issue refunds ... extremely disappointed. I have not had this issue with honey from other suppliers. What a waste of money.

Purchased 60lbs/5 gals. of Monarch's Orange Blossom Choice Honey and received it August 21, 2020. It does not taste, look, or smell like orange blossom honey and has a very bad after taste. Having lived in FL most of my life - I have eaten orange blossom honey most every day - so I have a lot of personal experience in various FL orange blossom honeys and their range of tastes. Whatever kind of honey Monarch put in the bucket they labeled as "Orange Blossom Honey" and shipped us - its does not taste like any orange blossom I have ever had. Zero orange blossom taste or smell. It is very dark, heavy, and leaves a foul taste in your mouth after tasting it. It is barely edible. We make a lot of granola at the International ALERT Academy where I work, and that means a lot of honey! I appreciated finding this honey at such a good price. It's not ideal for serving by itself, as in with biscuits or such, although it works ok. But for baking it's great, thus the name.:)

This honey is a great value for baking. Wildflour honey is very mild, do it doesn't add any unwanted strong flavors. Needs to be stored where it is warm or it will crystalize.

I ordered 60 lbs bakers honey this time I am sure glad I did! its so economical and flavor great for sauce making. Everything I ordered arrived fresh. Packaged extremely well.I am very satisfied I have another order I will be putting in very soon .

I have now ordered two of these buckets of honey. I haven't used them yet but one will soon be made into mead. The other bucket was lost to me as I had moved and forgot to update my information (user error). I was just informed that the bucket was found at my old address and is now in transit back to them. our family mostly uses this honey for personal use in coffee, tea and baking. love the richness of wild honey and we never use real sugar anymore.

I’ll never be able to pay retail prices for honey again. This giant bucket of honey is smooth, flavorful with lots of floral notes, and a gorgeous amber color. Would not hesitate to buy again.

I use honey for so many things like tea, baking, smoothies, etc. that this large quantity really appealed to me. I also like the clover varietal because it doesn't impart a distinctly different flavor to what I'm using it in - just a little unique sweetness that I like.

This Clover Honey is my 6th order. Somehow, I didn't find the product as good as the earlier ones. The product appears to be not the regular quality or it is mixed with something else. Please investigate what happened to the product. Thanks Solomon

best choice ever. Tasty , little dark and savorous honey and the amount of the batch is perfect for bakery. I will definitely order again this brand.

This product does everything that I need it to do and it is cheaper then getting it from a food distributor. Defiantly a must if you use a lot of honey.

Excellent product, I haven't been able to keep bees because of mosquito spraying done by the county. The five gallons of honey fills 3 cases of 12 ounce jars.

Good consistency right out of bucket and at bulk of 60 lbs this was a great find. I've been using this constantly for baking and still am no where near out of honey!
