This is the second Scotsman Ice maker I have bought from Webstaurant. Great machine. True stainless construction unlike other brands which are SS outside but cheap steel inside. Will eventually replace the other 3 ULine we have on the boat with these machines. And made in the USA! And as usually top notch service from Webstaurant. Ordered Wednesday, delivered Friday.
This Ice machine is amazing, it produces great ice and quickly, only complaint is the Ice scoop that comes with the unit is not conclusive to getting a large quantity of ice out
I love the machine, it is a commercial model and dramatically easier to break down and clean than your traditional consumer ice machine. The cubes are created by spraying water upward into bell-shaped holes that are cooled to freezing so the water adheres and the cubes form. When the freeze cycle has completed, the compressor reverses and sends heat to the molds, then the cubes drop out into the bin. You can easily yank out the door from the spray area, the sprayers, hoses, etc.
