pain in the butt to use, not worth it

Purchased two and both where broke within a week of use. Yes a restaurant kitchen is hard on equipment but this product did not last at all. I have used Taylor TS32 32 oz. Mechanical Portion Control Scale scales and we get 1-3 years out of them. I do not recommend this scale if employees are going to use them or you use them alot.

Our food production kitchen own multiple of the 32 oz compact portion and ice cream over run scales. We use them to portion foods and weigh ingredients. They are very handy and good quality.

Good ice cream portioning scale for the price. I have several located throughout the shop and they seem to be consistent with weight of product.

Do not buy this. It is extremely lightweight and poorly assembled. I was very disappointed to see such an inferior product from Taylor. The one I received never worked correctly. It kept "sticking" halfway down and up. I returned mine and received a refund. Can't win them all!

Amazing price for a 32 ounce ice cream scale. Came well packaged, easy to calibrate and use. This item has a nice clean, modern look.

Great scale for keeping portion control throughout your food service. Compact and lightweight. Easy to calibrate, clean and store. Easy to read numbers ensure accuracy every time. Excellent for smaller portioning.

This scale is cheap and a piece of garbage. Broke within 2 weeks of receiving the product. I know that Taylor makes great products but this is the worst tool that I have seen from Taylor. I have Taylor kitchen scale that I have had for 3 years without any issue. Would not recommend this item. Just getting an opportunity to write this review.

Broke after a week or so. It works all right, but if you are in a high volume restaurant, it will not last. Good for casual use, bad for kitchens.

This scale is light weight and cheap. Don't waste your money, put a little more with it and get a better one that will hold up. Broke the first week. I only gave it one star because the system would not let me leave a review without it. I would give it minus stars if I could.

A convenient and affordable portion scale that works as it should. Will continue to use carefully in a commercial setting and try not to overwork it or drop it

This is a nice scale. Not too big, not too small. It has a small footprint too so it will fit just about any where you put it.

good price for this type of scale and have had no issues since I bought it. will buy another if i it ever stops doing what its supposed to do

I bought this for my yogurt shop. Scale is accurate and the quality is good. I will be buying two more for my other restaurant

Fairly good and inexpensive scale. We've been through a few of them, but because the kitchen staff isn't always the most careful. They will not take much abuse.

This scale came in very handy for portioning food that is under 2 pounds. Very light weight so when its bumped it readjusts the weight on its own. Be careful with this one.

We use this portion scale daily and have no issues thus far. It was definitely worth the money. Initially thought it may not work well due to the low cost, but it's sure worth every penny!

This scale is garbage. One was defective and require immediate replacement. Other two I've had quickly became inaccurate and will not hold zero. Just spend a bit more and get a real scale, rather than this garbage.

I use this scale everyday to weigh out my hand pressed burgers. It's easy to read, I also use a paper dish on top and just adjust the dial. The scale platform is not removable.

Scale worked fine but too a fall off my table top and now doesn't work. The spring in it got all messed up. I can't really blame the manufacturer too much, these things happen

This scale is an alright buy if you don't need to weigh many things throughout the day. With the amount of workload we placed on it, it unfortunately didn't hold up tremendously well. Though for smaller applications, I'm sure it is great.

We bought this Tiny scale to weigh pizza dough. It lasted a day in our kitchen. Did not hold up well. The needle gives inconsistent reads on the same weight. You get a different measurement each time.

This scale is very small and won't work for some applications but it's perfect for us. We use to as quality control to weigh out portion sizes for salads and sandwiches.

This scale is small, it doesn't take up much room at all. Accurate weights. I use it for portion control for my nachos and does a fine job.

Bought this scale for weighing sliced meat products that we sell at the restaurant. Does what it says it will. Purchased the patty papers to go with it.

Smaller than I expected. "Compact" is in the description but these are really small BUT still pack a punch, weighing up to 32 oz. which is great for most of our uses!!

This scale is a joke , the number are small that you cant even see them , its not restaurant quilty at all , i gave it to my kids to play with , the scale itself very very small , not happy with it

Measure all of your ingredients exactly with the Taylor Compact portion scale. We use this mainly for weighing out hand made burger patties which provides accurate and consistent measurements.

We have a couple of these Taylor scales in our kitchen as well as a couple of the digital TE10FT units. I tend to like the digital better because it's easier to clean and seems like it doesn't have to be calibrated as often.

This scale lasted less than 6 months before breaking. Don't waste your money.Buy a higher quality item and save your self the hassle of trying to figure out how to replace it on warranty.

Our employees like using this scale over the digital one. Its sturdy and last a few years, doesn't take up a lot of counter space, so far we have purchased lots of these through out the years we have three restaurants and we love these scales!

Purchased this scale to use as a backup for our digital one, So far we haven't had to use it but inexpensive insurance is nice to have.

These scales are the perfect size for our small store. The calibration adjustment is in the back under the pedestal. Before ordering, I was worried it might be hard to access but it works fine.

This is a great little scale. It doesn't take much room and gets the job done. Taylor is a good name in scales and this measures up.

This little scale has lasted us longer than all the other scales we've bought. I think because it's not bulking, and employees don't drop it, and if they do, since it's not heavy, it hasn't broke. We have 3 of these and we portion everything we can. For example: 800 lbs. of ground meat per week for burger ranging 5 oz. to 10 oz.,; 180 lbs. roast beef; 40 lbs. ham; meatballs 3 0z. size about 60 lbs.; and many more uses.

This Is a very good scale for the money. Although it is a little smaller than I thought it would be, I would maybe think about a bigger one.

Good quality, inexpensive portion control scale. I've recently started making healthier food choices, so i'm very excited about this. I'm also a baking enthusiast and no longer have to pass on excellent recipes that lists ingredients by weights. Calibration is super simple and the scale seems to work great. It looks cute too.

These scales are relatively inexpensive and good for quick portioning. We have one we use exclusively for portioning fish and another one we use for fresh pasta.
