I make cookies and cakes and this mixer is exactly what I need. The 8qt bowl can make enough buttercream icing for 2-3 8” 3 layer cakes and enough cookie dough for just about 100 of my cut out cookies. The machine itself is strong, the stainless steel attachments are dishwasher safe which is a huge plus and you can feel the quality of them. The machine is much quieter than my old classic plus kitchenaid, and for times I don’t need all the extra bowl space, you can get bowls down to the size of 5qt that can fit on. Great quality machine.

I have been using this commercial grade stand mixer for over 2 years now and it is the best stand mixer that I have ever used! Even though I am using this at home, I find this stand mixer to be much better than the residential KitchenAid stand mixer that I use to use for years. With my old residential one, there were times I was concerned with wearing out the motor with the way it was sounding. But with this thing, I have made heavy doughs with no concern of burning out the motor. The fact that I can fit it under residential kitchen cabinets and not have to move it out when I load it up is a great space saver.

Holy Smokes! For 6 years i have been baking around 100 loaves of quick bread with a Kitchen Aid Mixer i bought in the LATE 70'S! I sell all summer at 5 different Farmers Markets, so my mixer is going all the time. Why didn't i get this wonderful 8 qt mixer years ago? Yes u have to adjust your recipes, yes u have to strengthen your forearms and wrists (ha ha) but man can u bake bread! Cutting my baking time down a third for sure. True Kitchen Aid dependability, Motor on this commercial unit is awesome. Have not moved past speed 2 yet! Please get this mixer. You won't regret it . Also, let me save you some time researching $$$$. This is the best deal on the internet to my knowledge. Searched for hours. Webstaurant is fast and dependable for me.

I am in love with this mixer. I know it says it is 'commercial' but really it is perfect for the home chef who makes large batches of things. I have a 20 year old 5 qt Kitchenaid that still works perfectly, but can't handle the capacity of many of my recipes...It ends up a big mess of flour or powdered sugar everywhere. I just used this 8qt mixer to make a batch of buttercream frosting which calls for 2 lbs of powdered sugar...Not a bit flew out onto the counter--The bowl had room to contain it all! And, if you watch carefully, the mixer will occasionally go on sale for 25% off! This is the best deal around!

I've been using Kitchenaid mixers since Hobart made them, over 50 years. It's still a great product though not made by Hobart since 1985. This 8 quart is heavy duty and works for an and all of my needs. I was thrilled to see the addition of a 5 quart bowl to use for slightly smaller amounts. I actually still have two KA stand mixers from the '70's along with an old Hobart 20 quart but this one fills the bill so nicely that I don't need the 5 quart ones now and the Ka45 attachments fit the 8 quart mixer. It is the perfect addition to the line.

After almost a year of use I had an issue. It was by far the easiest warranty claim EVER. One phone call, I had a whole new mixer in two days with a return shipping label for the old one. Great product, great service

I have a medium size bakery/deli that really puts the kitchenAid to some hard task. i'm going on to 4 years since purchase and it is still working like the first day I got it. I do recommend if you are going to use it in a commercial environment, to add an extra bowl and attachment as the only thing that will slow this kitchenAid mixer is the time it takes for you to clean the bowl and attachment for the next task.

I am surprised by the abundance of five-star reviews for this product. My first one burned out after a month or so of what I would consider pretty light use in a professional setting. Which is to say, large batches of cookie dough twice a week, along with some small batches of brioche, challah, and croissant dough. Kitchenaid quickly replaced it but now I am quite shy about pressing its capabilities. Unless I am mixing something really light, I reduce the quantity dramatically. It is not hard to stress the motor at all, and when you do it makes some frightening noises that sound like plastic crumbling and snapping. This baby is a serious work horse! Don't hesitate if making a decision to buy this. We have a high volume cafe and bake our own cakes and pies as well as make all the frostings for the cakes and this sweet baby gets the job done effortlessly! I can't live without it!

I purchased this mixer Sep 11,2015 from Webstaurant store. My bakery opened November 17, 2015. I have been using this mixer since November 15, 2015, 2 days before opening day. This is the worst mixer I have ever used!!. I stopped using this mixer because it is literally falling apart. The beater bar makes a terrible noise. The wire whip is garbage and looks like it is mangled together. It does not work on high speed except only on occasions. It will just stop while it is on. very disappointed with the service from kitchen aid....mine is less than a year old and the lever that lift the bowl no longer works, the speed selector when going past speed 2 will turn off the mixer unless I move it very quickly...also the handle for the bowl has fallen off...it is very difficult to get through to the support and I got transferred so many times only to end up at a voice mail where my call was never returned ...I can not recommend this mixer

Only been using this mixer for 3 months to knead dough with about 8 cups of flour. The metal plate that holds the hook cracked and broke. I been trying to call Kitchenaid customer service but was put on hold for an hour and got hung up! Very disappointed and I don't know what to do with this broken equipment.....

Love it! We had a 6qt. KitchenAid mixer and it broke recently. So, we replaced it with this 8qt. mixer and will never look back. A little expensive but worth the price!

I absolutely hate this mixer. I have had a Kitchenaid for my home for over 30 years and love it, so I assumed this one would be as nice. Wrong. The bowl drops, but not far enough to get it off the stand without taking the beater loose as well. When you are working with a stiff batter, like biscuit, it won't twist off easily, so I have to take the dough out one handful at a time until enough of it is out to twist the beater loose, then I can remove the bowl. What a horrible way to design a mixer. Either the engineers didn't cook or they don't cook like I do.

I found that this mixer is rendered totally useless as it has no available splash guard and the batter splashes out of the bowl at speed 4 and goes all over the place. I used the same batter in my 7 quart mixer ( from another manufacturer ) and have no problem. I thought I would be able to use more batter in the 8 quart mixer. I will never use this mixer again. I have used it once & will never use it again. It is useless. I spent a lot of money on it - don't waste yours. I would rate this no stars but not given that option.

I purchased this commercial KitchenAid and it works great, but everytime I even just barely touch the bowl to the mixer it scratches...I've only had it a couple of months but it looks old due to the scratches all over it, it works great but the paint on it is awful - was hoping it would look as good as it works, but it doesn't...for the price, disappointed.

A great mixer for every day use and small batches. I use mine to make everything form whipped cream to brownies. These are very reliable mixers and easy to get fixed if something goes wrong. I like having a medium size mixer around so I don't have to fire up my 30 quart all the time.

I LOVE this mixer. This KitchenAid 8 qt. is just the size I love, and is way better than a bulky commercial mixer. The torque is very powerful and handles big batches of dough easily. Definitely recommend this mixer!

This Stand Mixer works really well and it performs the most tasks easily. I have loaded it to batches of cakes and brownies and they were so easy that looks cowardice. I jumped into the Pizza dough and Italian Breads, again easy task. Well, The ratio between velocity and torque should be kept in mind to avoid any overheat through time.

Absolutely love this mixer. My 6 quart white KitchenAid mixer died after many, many years and it was time for an upgrade. The 8 quart is wonderful and the price was good. It can do 4 cookie recipes at the same time, simplifying the cookie house process and helping me get done faster when company comes.

I bought a white one, and a red on in September of 22 for our commercial kitchen. The red one is holding on with no issues, but the white one the lever to lift the bowl up and down no longer works, which pretty much renders the mixer useless unless you want to hold the bowl up yourself! I clean it after every use so I didn't expect this kind of wear and tear after barely over a year! Our previous kitchen aids we used for our commercial kitchen lasted 5 years before having issues with increasing speed and we had to replace them

We had a smaller Kitchen aid mixer that we gave to our daughter because it was not big enough any longer. This machine works well so far, and we are able to make larger batches in it. It is big enough to handle our double batches.

Great countertop mixer, really easy to use, smooth working and excellent results.

While these mixers are great, we go through them about every 6-8 months just from beating buttercream. They start to drop grease (?) from the top which gets into the buttercream so we have to toss the batch....and then the mixer. We tried to warranty replace one with Kitchenaid and it was such a hassle. Wish there was a stronger commercial alternative that was an 8-10 quart mixer.

I just received my Kitchen Aid 8 qt mixer and I'm in love! I no longer have to make a single kilo recipe at a time. I can double and even triple some recipes and this beast of a machine handles it with no problem, at all. I used to have the 6 qt mixer and it couldn't handle a double batch. The 8qt commercial NSF certified mixer does what the 6qt mixer wishes it could do! Do yourself a favor and buy one!

I purchased this mixer for my small bakery business. It is a great price point for a small industrial-style mixer. It handles all of the abuse I put it through from making Italian buttercreams that can tax and overheat a motor to very stiff yeast doughs, this mixer has no problem handling these tasks. The 8qt bowl is good for most of my needs.

This thing is garbage. The locking mechanism that brings the bowl up and down broke instantly, rendering it completely useless. Plus it rattles like crazy when turned on.

This one is really a good size. We use it for our catering kitchen and it fits well. I highly suggest having one in your kitchen if you do things that require a lot of mixing. to be honest, I prefer a hand held mixer though for clean up

I have had the professional 600 for 10 years for my business and it did a wonderful job, when it was time to replace the old girl I decided to go commercial for the bigger bowl, but after a couple of uses it bogs down the bowl shakes and the dough clings to the beater attachment .... very disappointed

Other than a chef’s knife, this is my #1 tool in my kitchen as a pastry chef. It’s a workhorse. Unlike many, it is completely stable on the counter, no matter how heavy the dough I have in there is. The attachments reach almost all areas of the bowl (thou, like with any mixer, scraping down sides and bottom is a must for full mixing). I don’t know what I’d do without it.

This mixer may be NSF certified and may be a great purchase for larger tasks in a residential setting, but it is not a standard duty commercial mixer. 3 of these mixers have failed on me in less than 2 years. I make croissant & danish doughs for a few hours ONCE A WEEK. My doughs are about 60% absorption rate with about 9 cups of flour. This mixer is advertised to handle 16 cups of flour. Commercial mixers are expected to be used for hours, all week long. KitchenAid states in their owner's manual that they are so confident in their product that they will replace the "failed" product for up to 2 years.
