Reviews for Choice 8 oz. Tall White Poly Paper Hot Cup - 1,000/Case

Ordered 1000 16 oz cups and they were defective. The lids made for the cups (which also fit 20 oz) did not stay on the cups. We have received many complaints and witnessed numerous customers spill part of their drinks because the lids come off. When we reached out to Webstaurant, they asked for a video showing the problem. We have ordered a lot of product from them. It was disappointing that they did not take our word for it and replace them. Long story short, we sent a video and still have not received a response. This has been so frustrating.

Normally we buy Solo brand 12 ounce cups but decided that we'd try these at about 30% cheaper. Dollar for dollar, they are probably a better value than the Solo cups. Inspecting the cup, the rolled lip is very smooth, the seam is perfect, and the bottom edge is well done and textured, all comparable in quality to our Solo cups. On the inside, the coating appears to be slightly thinner than Solo's, but I've had ice water in both for the past half hour and neither are soggy. There is also visible coating on the bottom of the cup. However, we decided not to go with these cups because of the off-white color. The pure white of the Solo cups is pristine and conveys quality. If Choice could brighten the color, we would absolutely choose these, and they are still a great choice at the end of the day.

We have mixed reviews about these cups. We have received bad batches the last few orders where customers are sending me photos of cup failures. It may be time to start looking for alternatives so we don’t lose customers.

Good looking cups. Must have a sleeve, they get hot. Randomly there will a bad one which seeped out the bottom. It's random and theres no holes so theres no way of knowing it'll do that.

We've ordered these cups and use them as our smallest size of regular coffee/tea beverages in our coffee shop. They are a good cup, solid and sturdy. You'll want a hot sleeve for them depending on the style of drink you're doing.

We use them all the time to give tea to the customer. Best price in the market and shipping is good too. They arrive the next day. We love Webstaurant!

The cups desintegrate if in contact with liquid more than 10 minutes. My clients need to drink their coffee quick so that the bottom of the cup does not detach

We have been using these cups for a few years with no problem. However, recently they leak the moment you pour hot liquid into them. We are looking into changing brands. Not sure if production changed but they are not the quality they used to be.

Not as bad as the kraft ones but they still leak with any and all lids and the seam around the rim will swell up and start to drip almost immediately Zero stars

We love the Choice cups for coffee and hot tea. They are durable and economical. We didn't like the lids though. We use the solo traveler lid and they fit perfectly.

Nothing wrong with them, work as intended. I would buy more next time because 50 doesn't last that long. Doesn't leak down the seam like other cheap cups do.

Great Study cups! We use them for both Hot and Cold Water cups for our restaurant. They are not flimsy, and do last a few uses per person. And the best part is that they're completely white!

This works great as a hot or a cold cup. We've had no problems with them getting soft over time and leaking. Saves you having two kinds of to go cups.

These are perfect size for small gatherings, or children size drinks. They're a great in between size of sampler and regular drink. So far no leaks and they're reasonably priced.

We have Coffee Time each week and we are so thankful for having cups that are cost effective and our coffee drinkers enjoy the simpleness of the cups.

I think these do the job ok. Compared to the Solo brand, they are lacking a little bit, and I might not buy them in bigger sizes, but for a small cup of coffee they do the job!

I used these for a coffee bar at my wedding. They were the perfect size. They did get a bit hot on the hand when holding, but that didn't seem to bother anyone.

These cups are very good. Just make sure you order the correct size tops. The cup does become very hot. I order sleeves as well to take care of this.

I bought a case and the lids were not staying on and we decided to get rid of them and I bought another case thinking it may have been a bad case. I ordered another case and the same exact issue the lid pops off!! I would like to get a credit issued and see if the company has any intention of fixing this issue? I have seen a few others having the same defect and with filling cups with hot liquids it is dangerous to hand to someone!

Breaking open on the bottom on customers. Just had this issue with 12oz cups. Now it is the 16oz cups, will most likely be switching companies

A great basic cup when you care about margins. Every now and then we get a bad batch but Webstaurant takes care of us.

These little cups are sturdy and great for a double espresso or for tiny hot chocolates for kids!

I am having to double up cups for hot beverages because these keep falling through. Not good!!

Mixed review. We have been ordering these cups for almost a year now and have had almost no issues. Suddenly the bottoms are soft and coffee is leaking out or the entire bottom is falling out. Can't risk that so looking for other options now. I have 1000 cups we can't use.

I'm pretty torn on this review. To be honest, most of the time I'm really happy with these Choice brand cups. We use the 16 oz and 20 oz ones regularly in our coffee shop. But I bought a case of the 16 oz ones in July, and just opened them up last week. I made a beautiful latte, showed off the artwork to the customer, then put the lid on - it didn't feel like it "snapped" into place the way it ought to, but I didn't think much of it. Recent orders of these 16 oz cups are failing!!! The bottom is breaking out of them and they are leaking. Customers have had these cups break open in their laps and in their cars. The replacement cups that were sent are doing the same thing! Absolute defective junk!

Terrible. Bottoms fell out burning people with hot coffee.

These cups are nice, sturdy & great quality! I’m mad at myself for not ordering more, lol. I only ordered 50 because I was hesitant on the quality of them at that low price. But they work great! I use them for smoothies every morning & couldn’t be happier! Sometimes it takes me a couple hours to drink my shake and the sides of the cup never get soft/squishy whenever I grab it like other cups have. I’m highly impressed. I will definitely order them again.

I got these for hot beverages at an outdoor winter event. They’re thick enough were thick enough to hold their shape with hot beverages. We use a coordinating lid for drinks that don’t have whipped cream & sprinkles but we do not use sleeves with them because most customers are wearing gloves so it’s not needed. However, if you’re serving to customers that do not have on gloves I would highly recommend adding sleeves.

Have been ordering these cups for a year now. Just recently there have been SO many customers who had the bottoms fall completely out! ALL sizes of this product are doing the same thing. You came up with a cheaper, less effective way to make this product.

Shipping was horrible... They bundle or tape 3 cases together and most are ripped cartons, crushed from the weight and don't even stay together. Meaning we usually are missing 1 case or more. I have complained a couple of times but the process is not time consuming.

I used to like these, but we've gotten a few sleeves from a bad batch where the bottom is coming completely out! Customers are not happy about this obviously! We order a case every other week at each of our three locations.

Bottom separated from seam and leaked hot tea onto customer. This was the first cup of the sleeve. If using for hot tea/coffee, its not worth the liability for the cheap price of the cups. We use the eco choice compostable version and have never had a problem.

We used this paper cups at our cafe and it’s very sturdy. You will need the sleeve to hold it.
