Call it disappointing. This "high temperature" turner didn't make it through its first fried egg in a black steel pan without developing a roughed edge. It didn't melt, nor did it fail in any way, but it didn't hold its sharp edge when used in a hot pan.

it has a good weight, and is easy to use. Unfortunately, it started to melt while I was using it to turn pancakes. It was not on high heat, but on mid-low. I was very surprised to see it start to melt, as I also use my bare hands when removing the cooked pancakes from the pan.

I have 12" Purple High Temperature Slotted Turner. I am a mom of 4 and cook a lot of eggs this is perfect it does not scratch my pans and does good with the high heat to fry eggs

I was surprised how much I’ve liked this spatula. It’s held up really well over the last 3+ years of solid use. Almost no bubbling or melting, though I mostly use this on non-stick, so it doesn’t get as much screaming high heat as it could.

I have been using these spatulas for several years. They have really held up!

That spatula by Mercer Culinary basically replaced all my other turners and high heat spatulas. I use it all the time and it is rigid enough to make scrapping pans easy as well as deglazing. I'd definitely recommend buying one of these.

The hells handle plastic spatula is my go-to spatula when sautéing anything in my nonstick pans! The head is flexible, yet has enough strength to inspire confidence when handling large foods. Definitely recommended!

This is a great fish-spat substitute if using non stick pans. The plastic is highly heat resistant, strong, and flexible. Especially for the price, I was very happy with this purchase.

This is a really nice turner, very sturdy but with some flexibility, and a thin edge for easily getting under food. Great quality for such an inexpensive utensil.

I love that the thickness of the metal doesn't hurt your hands when you're washing it in the sink or putting it in the dishwasher.It has a thin edge for easily getting under food, and it is incredibly easy to clean.

This is a great spatula and very very solid I used it on almost anything when cooking. I even use it to scoop out rice and it never gets bent. Highly recommend

Used it to pull 2 omelets from 2 non-stickpans, with less than 3 seconds of contact time each, and with the heat turned off, and it has already failed to remotely live up to its claim of "heat resistant" up to (my favorite of all deceptive marketing terms) 430 degrees... To more accurately reflect what should be the claim, I've rewritten it to say the following: "This product is heat resistant Up to 430 degrees... in theory, or in your dreams, or under some form of otherwise miraculous circumstances, but in reality it most likely won't hold up past 130 degrees because it's a piece of cheap plastic from a "globally sourced" location."

Great spatula. I use it for almost everything. The nylon prevents me from scraping stainless steel or scratching off non-stick coatings or emulsified oil from my seasoned pans. Of course, that means the turner will slowly wear away (since it's softer than the pans you're using it on). You're probably consuming a tiny amount of nylon in every dish that requires a little scraping. I've used other slotted turners that are annoyingly flexible. This one's a good balance of flexibility and rigidity.

Great spatula that holds up well to high heat. Works for many applications in the kitchen. Washes well with high temp dish machines without breakdown

These do good with high temperatures but over time I noticed discoloration and melting on edge. Mixed feelings on these. Better at flipping than my wooden spatulas.

I bought one of these to just try out and loved it so much I bought 3 more. I like the Gray color more since it will not show any discoloration and just look newer longer. Very handle for just about any cooking or serving use. Excellent for cooking fish, eggs, and serving baked goods.

Absolutely love these things. I've bought them for multiple line cooks as a gift they can throw in their knife bags, and end up buying a few for every kitchen I end up in charge of buying smallwares for. Not exactly a 1:1 replacement for a metal fish spat, but definitely the only plastic turner I'd ever use. Fantastic for use in nonstick pans. These Mercer ones are a little straighter at the edge than some other brands, which have a bit of a lip, so I recommend these in particular.

Have you heard the Weird Al song “Spatula City”? I’m thinking that webstaurant should change their name! But seriously, this is a great tool. Took me some getting used to because I’ve never used one this shape, but I’m glad I got it!

Doesn't melt! We've all been there, forgetting our tools in a hot pan or throwing them into a bus tub with other hot pans. This beast doesn't burn, it really is high temp. Would recommend!

When you can't use a metal spatula, this tool is about the best you can get to scrape up stubborn eggs, pancakes, and fritters. It doesn't melt or leave behind any residues like other "heatproof" tools and was cheaper than any of them by a long shot! Highly recommended!

Great little spatula that can withstand the high heat of pans etc. for the price I will definitely be purchasing more of these in the future.

Pretty sure this purchase makes me the owner of every color available. They are my go-to spatula for almost everything I cook. Holds its edge well over time.

Absolutely the best spatula for flipping omelets or other larger items. Indispensable during breakfast, and I will be ordering a few more in different colors.

This guy can take the heat! I love being able to plunge it right into the pan with confidence no matter the temperature. Handle length is good.

This Spatula is surprisingly versatile. The small form factor allows it to be used in many smaller situations (saute pans) or for flipping smaller pancakes, burgers, etc. That said, it's sizeable enough to get under a fairly large omelette since the flipping surface is almost half the length of the turner itself. The color is nice, and easy to keep separated from other turners, or useful for keeping some turners designated for certain tasks. This is great for non-stick, as it won't damage even the cheapest nonstick coating. I'd recommend this spatula - especially given the price tag.

Does a nice job flipping my grilled cheese sandwiches and pancakes without catching the edges.. It's also nice for fried eggs without breaking the yolk.

This slotted turner has served me well so far. Its great for flipping eggs, fish, and pancakes. It is well constructed and should last a while. Only issue is the handle is bit thin to hold, but for the price you cant go wrong.

Really nice and light spatula. It's flexible enough to get under things but sturdy enough to pick things up off the pan and flip. The spatula feels good in your hands and is easy to clean as well.

I love this turner! You can use it for anything: pancakes, fish, sauteeing, etc. It will not melt and looks great, easy to identify in the bain marie

I'm going to be honest I didnt expect much from this but it worked great with my cast iron! Did not melt even a little!

Love Love Love this spatula, everyone does had to order more and it’s flat so flipping burgers and fish and salmon is ieasy without ripping the meat, we will use these everyday I promise you, and I have my own color not gonna miss those metal ones at all

We use these to transfer hot pastries from sheet pans to cooling racks. The thin leading edge makes it easy to transfer fragile pastries like mini galettes even when quite hot. Easy to clean, and hasn't shown any heat damage.

By far my favorite spatula. It is so thin, yet sturdy, that it makes it so easy to cook fish, eggs, pancakes, crepes, and all sorts of different items. The slots make it nice for draining oils and other liquids as well.

This is a great turner for any job. I use it for burgers, eggs, tortillas etc. The material is durable and easy to clean. Pleased with this purchase
