Mercer Culinary produces cutlery that is on par with its more expensive competitors (cough, couch henkels, wusthoff) without breaking the bank. This is my second Mercer product, and I could not be more pleased with it. This knife is wicked-razor-sharp, and the edge retention is just astounding. I just filleted a whole stringer of walleye, and a few trout (about 25 fish) and I swear I could still cut a hair in mid air with this katana-sharp knife. I simply love it, but I would love it even more if they would have included an edge guard or a sheath of some kind with it.

High quality chef knife. Handle placement is very good. We were worried the rubber-type grip handle would be cheesy or cheap, but it is actually really nice, and very helpful to prevent slips. Very good chef knife. Better than my Cutco version, and MUCH better than my Dexter one.

This product is of great quality and very durable. I bought several from another distributor and the quality is not as good as those from Web Restaurant.

This is a great home knife. I bought this one for my brother-in-law, jast a normal home cook. I told him it was a decent knife and very sharp. He said sharp is what he wanted. Then used it and said it was scary sharp it cuts so smooth and basically fell through the tomato with no pressure. I love the price and quality of these knifes.

This Chefs knife keeps a sharp edge and is very durable. Cleans easily and has a great hand feel. The colors are fun. This is a must have knife in every chefs tool kit.

From a home cooks perspective, this is an awesome knife. 10 inches is just about the max for home use, but it really does fly through food. You need a full size cutting board for sure when using this knife.

A ten inch chef knife sharp and labeled for cross contamination. Ready for use this knife I definitely recommend as a daily utensil. Knives are never in short supply in my kitchen.

This is a very sharp 8" chef knife. It quickly became my favorite knife for cutting all the vegetables. It could be used for everything. The color is bright also.

We use the color coded handles to organize our kitchen and keep certain colors in specific sections. Great quality for the price for the average kitchen use.

Great upgrade for someone used to cheap, big box store knives. It is not the sharpest ever (and you want it to be so that the knife does the work and you minimize the chance of slipping), but for the price I am happy with my purchase. Depending on your hand size/preference, the 8" may be too large.

Mercer knives are the best for their price and quality. Keeps a nice sharp edge from the start. Just a few swipes of the steel and sharpen properly every day. Lightweight and durable.

So far so good. I like these for beater knives for the chefs. They do a good job keeping sharp and seem to be a good brand so far.

Excellent knife. This is probably my go to knife out of all my knives that I own. I love the color choices and the size of it is perfect for slicing, chopping, or cutting anything.

bought 3 different ones. great quality and very sharp knife. Holds its sharpness for a long time. have different colors to go with each cutting board . This helps prevent cross contamination . had them sharpened once in after 6+ months. Note used for produce, Not bones or meat

Good general purpose knife that will stay good after many times being sharpened. Comes in a variety of colors to avoid cross contamination, ect. Good size and feel overall with a comfortable handle.

The Mercer 10" chef knife is great for slicing meats like smoked brisket and prime rib. I use the blue handle as color coding so my cooks know which knife is for the carving station.

I love this knife, it keeps its sharpness and makes for very precise cuts. I especially like the variety of handle colors, that way I can keep my knives separate for different proteins.

Large commercial knife that cuts so cleanly through produce. The grip is stable and comfortable, I can even slice easily through very large pineapples. The best part is, this knife is so darn easy to clean. Never rusts, always looks like new and we have used it for countless hours a day almost every single day for 1.5 years. Get this if you need an NSF approved knife that will make your busy kitchen life easier!

Wicked sharp knife. We use it daily for prep work. It holds up super well with a weekly sharpening. I am a firm believer that the 8inch knife is the perfect size for general prep work.

This knife became dull very quickly after purchase. Even with attempts to sharpen it never quite gets sharp enough. I wish we had spent the extra money on a better product.

These knives were purchased for a kids cooking camp. They were of great quality and very sharp. Definitely order the blade covers to go with them.
