I gotta say, these are my favorite knives. I purchased these for our church kitchen because of the price and the reviews, and then purchased a few for my home. I have other high quality brand knives at home, and I consistently reach for the Mercers over any of these others. They hold their edge, are extremely sharp, and well balanced. I simply make sure that I use my hone on them before each use. Can't beat these knives for the price!!

Clearly this quality Mercer Culinary knife is by far the best Pairing knife i have every owned. I going to order more. It is extremely comfortable in my hand, it has a non-slip handle that assures a good grip even when wet. Additionally, this knife holds its edge extremely well. That little 3" knife by Mercer Culinary is super sharp! It cuts through anything with ease and the weight is perfectly balanced. The handle feels really secure in the hand and won't slip even when wet. I'm getting the larger versions next!

This is a beautiful knife. It arrived super sharp and had remained that way. (I do sharpen it once or twice a month) It is perfect for kitchen prep and feels comfortable in my hand. Well made piece!

This is a beautiful paring knife. It is a high quality knife that will last for years. The blade is very sharp and firm and is dishwasher safe. It cuts easily with no difficulties and it saves me a lot of time in my kitchen.

I love the handles and feel of Mercer's Genesis product line of knives. I combined the 3.5" paring knife with the Bird's Peak peeling knife and the 5" utility knife as three piece set and gave them to my wife as a "just because" present. She loves them and uses them all the time!

If you haven't used a knife with a santoprene handle, you really need to. I have this paring knife and the chef's knife. They are my most comfortable knives by far. This has kept an edge for an incredibly long time. I've bought three as gifts, and plan on buying more.

I haven’t updated my pairing knives in a long time. This one by Mercer is a great replacement and the non-slip handle is something I’ve never had before. I’ll be buying this brand for future needs.

This is a great paring knife. I love that it has a full tang, instead of the cheaper option. The handle has a great amount of grip, and it is easy to use.

I'm blown away by the quality of this knife for the price. I had never used Mercer knives before, and decided to purchase this paring knife to give them a test-drive. This stands up to my Wusthofs and other more expensive knives. Although not specified in the description, the edge seems to be around 20 degrees, and holds its edge very well. I usually prefer a riveted handle, but I actually like the feel of the handle very much, and it has a nice heft to it that feels comfortable in the hand. I will probably buy more from this line. I can't recommend this enough for anyone looking for the feel and performance of a high-end knife at a fraction of the cost. This is a great pairing knife. I made the mistake of buying this knife and not getting a guard for it and let's just say I found out how sharp it really was lol.

As a Baking & Pastry student at JWU, these knives are issued to us in our knife kits and I have to say it is by far one of the best knives I've ever used, whether you're prepping fruit, or cutting small amounts of dough this knife is the best for the job!

I love the look and the feel of this paring knife. I have bought a lot of different brands of knives over the years and I've come to find that Mercer has to be one of the best. This knife comes sharp and I haven't needed to sharpen it yet. It cuts vegetables easily and makes peeling potatoes and fruits less of a chore to do. You can't go wrong with purchasing this knife!

The Mercer Genesis series is fantastic. I have this knife and the chefs knife and they stay sharp and are perfect for a wide variety of kitchen cutting tasks. The handle has a nice grip as well and is comfortable to hold.

I have loved all the shapes and sizes of Mercer knives I've purchased so far, and this is no exception. This Paring knife is small but has good weight to it. It will last for years and has been quite useful in coring loads of tomatoes. All Mercer knives are great for home or work use, I've loved all mine so much that I have the same knives for work and home so I am never without them.

I am very happy with this 3 1/2" paring knife. After using this and another Mercer knife for a few days, I want to throw out my old cutlery and replace them all with Mercer Genesis knives. Highly recommend.

The Mercer Genesis 3 1/2" forged paring knife is exactly what I anticipated: a very sharp blade, (be careful!). The length of the blade is just right for my use, and the knife has a very comfortable handle. I highly recommend this.

This is my favorite and least expensive multipurpose paring knife in my collection. The length of both the super-sharp blade and the tang/contoured handle (3-13/16") provides a good balance and control for peeling, slicing, and small intricate work like deveining shrimp and garnishing.

This paring knife is 3 1/2 inches which I think is a great size for a paring knife. Many paring knives come in a little smaller size but I get more use out of a 3 1/2 inch knife. As always, The Westaurant Store had the lowest price I could find. The comfortable rubberized grip and sharp blade allows for greater precision for delicate tasks. A must have in any kitchen.

I have other mercer knives and this one isn't much different from those. Made from quality steel and the knife has a nice weight to it for how small it is. Very sharp and great quality for the price!

After considering the multiple purchases required for the kitchen at my new place I didn't want to go overboard with high quality everything initially. Bought these as a stand-in but six months later they are still going strong and are my primary paring knife go-to.

The blade on this knife is forged, which was a nice surprise. The bolster and handle are joined in a way so there is no gap, which makes cleaning them a breeze. They are nicely balanced as well and are all around great knives.
