We use this press to patty about 150 patties a week, and we've used it for almost 4 years now. We've waited to write a review because it's important to note that even after a few years of continued use, this thing still works exactly like it did brand new. You can take it apart fully to clean it and get any remnants out of the way, and it screws back together in a few seconds. Works great with the 5" patty papers. We have used it with papers and without, with one paper and with two--whatever works for you, the press will work. It preps a hearty 1/4 pound patty with good edges, and it's thick enough to look good on a sandwich but thin enough to cook efficiently. Great product!

Get the perfect portioned patty every time. We use the maximum weight giving us a perfect 5 oz burger every time. You do need to use a little muscle to get all the meat perfectly packed inside so keep that in mind when assigning tasks to employees.

Just used this today, really like it. Consolidates the meat much better (and much thinner!) than by hand. Didn't use any waxed paper or plastic film, and yes the patties stick to the press, but they weren't too hard to take off because they were so well pressed together. I set the press to the thickest setting, seemed to take just under 4oz of meat, but not a big deal if you put too much either, it just squeezes out the edge. Ideally, it could be set even thicker in my opinion, to make for instance a thicker 6oz burger too.

I bought this last summer to make my life a little more easier. Haha. We host a number of cookouts in the summer and it always seems that burgers are one food that is ALWAYS on the menu. I despise having to patty out hamburger and tend to always wait to the last minute to do so. I bought this and was so surprised on how much easier and less messier it was to do. I even pattied out hamburger days before the events and tossed them in the freezer... ;)

I wish it was a little heavier but it gets the job done

I purchased this to make rabbit burger patties. Works well and forms a nice solid patty. I would highly recommend using patty paper to go with it.

We are burgerholics. This burger press works very nicely to support our habit. We have best results with a combination of pan spray & patty paper while using it.

This hamburger press is solid. If you want perfectly shaped and formed hamburgers patties, this product is a win and you will not be disappointed.

Great Patty Press! We're currently pressing 6 oz burgers with the press using the 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" patty papers. Great Adjust-ability with Easy Cleanup. We don't have it permanently mounted to our counter, and it still works great.

I love how I can adjust the thickness of the patty. Allows me to make kids size burgers and adult burgers without stress. Perfect patty maker

This burger press works great. I used it with the Choice 5" round perforated patty paper and they came out looking professional, and ready to freeze, if necessary. I got this so I could make my own bratwurst burger patties.

This was a little lighter than we expected. It is aluminum, but it's VERY light. On the bright side, you'll never have to oil it to keep it from rusting. Ours wobbles quite a bit at the hinge, which is annoying but not a big problem.

Great tool for our homemade burgers. This hamburger press assists our cooks to get the job done in a timely manner. The 4 1/2 inch diameter patties that you can create with this machine are perfect for any bun. Overall a great buy.

This hamburger press is amazing. It makes every patty the exact same size! We rigged ours up using a piece of and screwing it together! Perfect!!

Got into making my own sausages . Of course hamburger patties are a natural extension of that. get some patty paper and some pan spray spray the inside of the patty press lay down a paper drop your meat on and then go to town.. make one, weigh it, adjust piston to get the weight patty you want then go to town.. well constructed. easy to take apart to clean and disinfect

Don't waste your money. Ground beef sticks to this thing and is very hard to clean. If you want a perfectly uniformed hamburger, buy them. I like mine to look handmade!

I like the fact that the burgers come out the same size each time. The main reason I bought this. I read reviews before purchasing and I spray the press with Pam and the burgers have never stuck. Good price and good product so far

Tried this out today and was very happy how the burgers came out. I used 1/4 lb. hamburg on the thickest setting, no more uneven looking burgers. Used the patty paper, also bought on Webstrauntstore and they are ready for the grill.

I was looking to make the perfect burger patty every time!! This product makes the perfect patty, easy to take apart an clean!! I would recommend this over any burger press machine

Seems like a good Hamburger press. Not sure how long it'll last as it feel rather "cheap" but it does the job well if you don't have a huge amount of hamburgers to press.

Great product! Had a problem with my cooks more pressing burgers flat enough, causing ticket times to drag on. The nice flattened patty cooks 10 times quicker and has nice shape.

Decent hamburger press. I was disappointed with the options of thickness of the patty and the overall design, as I like to do lots of different shapes and sizes. Does a good fast food style patty.

We recently began making our own sausage patties in house. this press has allowed us to produce a uniform product. for ease of cleaning we found that wrapping both the top and bottom plates in plastic wrap prevents sticking of meat.

Like this burger press a lot. Makes equal size patties with minimal effort. By putting payment paper underneath the patty and by covering the lid with plastic wrap the patty doesn't stick to the press.

My husband was happy to see this sitting on the counter for him. I complained how fat the burgers always were. Now he can press them flatter for me. Really like!!!

The press works well I use this to make our housemade sausage patties with the press to almost the thinnest setting. I will agree that the press needs to lined with plastic wrap. Also this press must be hand washed we had someone run it thought the dishwasher one time and it completely tarnished.

works good, you need to put plastic wrap on one side it will work just fine , u can adjust burger size another great feature !

The product does not work unless you put patty paper both under AND over the meat. If not, the meat sticks to the top and won't come out of the cavity. They could've engineered it better so that you can "pop" the patty out. Having said that, once you figure out this issue and use two pieces of patty paper, then it works fine.

In my restaurant we use it to make some veggie burger, make nice small patty, you can adjust if you need very tiny or not

I use this hamburger maker by adding unions on top and they come out perfect. It is best to get the wax paper for the bottom and top so it doesn't stick. Great machine to use. Douglas Hall

I purchased this so that I would have uniform hamburgers. I have found that this works best if you use the patty paper (wax sides touching meat) when forming the pattys. If you purchase this item I would definitely buy the patty paper as well from Webstaurant.

The aluminum hamburger press works perfect everytime. Great for making a lot of burgers and having them consistent with each other. The adjustable thickness knob makes changing thickness simple.

this press is great and faster than making hamburgers by hand. Just put in a half cup of burger and press burgers turn out great.

This is a great burger press that is perfect for burger parties and BBQs. It makes preparation really simple and quick especially when there are many people over.

As per some of the other reviews: why didn't I buy this earlier? You can adjust the patties thickness and it allows to make perfect burgers every time and what I've also found out that they stay flatter when they cook (ie: more even instead of having a lump in the centre"). I recommend that you buy the patty paper, put it on the base before the meat and wrap the top part with plastic wrap. It makes removing the patty way easier. The cast iron one may be better for a restaurant setting but for home use this one is simply a no brainer at that price.

The greatness of this product nearly brought me to tears the first time I used it. It truly makes life so much easier, and a heck of a lot happier, as well.
