These are actually usable up to 8 fl oz. 16 oz would be up to the rim. I wish there was a "usable capacity" measurement on the listing. I'm posting a picture as well with the bowl filled with 8 fl oz.

Fantastic soup, cereal and ice cream bowls. They look nice for formal events, and they are incredibly durable. An excellent buy for whatever event you need them for.

Love these eco bowls. They hold thinks pretty well and don't spill. I use these at different festivals and events and they hold up really well!

I love these bowls. The main reason for selecting these bowls was that they are biodegradable. I was most surprise that they are very sturdy. They are perfect for soups, but be careful if you put soup in them and then put them in the microwave, the bottom of the bowl starts to leak, but regardless, I love these bowls!

We are using this bowl in conjunction with the bagasse plates as part of our Green Initiative. This is a great upcycle of a waste product. We use them for cereal (hot and cold) no leaks doesnt' get soggy, Works great.

Excellent price on this size bowl. Webstaurant makes it affordable to go green ow! We put piping hot chicken soup in these and they're fine.

My family picnics and goes on road trips quite often. So, we look to Webstaurant for all of our disposable needs because they offer such a great selection of eco friendly products and a family friendly price. These bowls can be used for cereal in your hotel room, which helps with a quick breakfast if we’re at a place that doesn’t offer it. Also, you can serve fruit salad or pasta salad with them at BBQs. Just a great all around product and the quality is beyond compare.

These are a little on the small side but do not have the same plastic waxy coating of some bowls so I feel better putting warm things in them.

Good quality and price, but the lip on the bowl is a little strange looking and somewhat makes what you put in the bowl (in my case, ice cream) look smaller than it actually is.

Worst I ever purchased. If you use anything that has a bit of moisture like a bowl of chili, they fall apart! I tried contacting Webstraunt to return them. I would have to pay for shipping to return! When I said I shouldn’t have to pay for the return of defective bowls they never responded back! I’ve purchased bowls in the past that were good, but these really seem defective. Definitely gone down in quality.

These bowls were perfect for small servings of soup at an event with many small bites available. The shape is a little more elegant than a standard paper bowl, so they gave an elevated appearance to our guests.

I really like these bowls. They are Compostable, previously I was using styrofoam and plastic creating a lot of waste. I was looking for a easily recyclable choice.

The bag to the bowls was not sealed when we received them. The bowls are nice but seem to be a little thin compared to the bamboo bowls. I’m sure they will work for our event.

A great size for soups and stews, patrons appreciate the fact that we have spent a little extra to be environmentally proactive. This product holds up as good or even better than conventional paper bowls.

Quality product and it is biodegradable too! Sturdy bowl works great for soups and heavier applications! Would order again due to the fact it is biodegradable and how sturdy it is!

This has held up well for ice creams, fruits, other varieties of semiliquid desserts or even soups. No leakage at all. I am worried about the prop 65 warning though. Will have to research more about how much of a lead exposure does this product cause?

These were great. Really sturdy. We used them for our salad bar and they seemed to be a perfect size. They would be wonderful for soup as well.

A great price for the quantity! Good quality as well. I personally did not like the shape of the bowl. A flatter surface would allow room for more food. Kind of waste of space on top.

This is an excellent product, and so much better priced than from other retail and wholesale outlets. They are sturdy and a perfect size (many retail items for same volume are too big). I especially like that they are biodegradable. Webstaurant service is fast and efficient.

Elegant and sustainable...the only choice when you MUST use disposables! Used these for posole and no warping or spills. However, they are more deep versus wide than most disposables, so 10oz is a more reasonable serving size to keep things looking nice around the rim.

use only paper goods. Saves water and electricity and can be recycled. The quantity is great for those with big families and small. Strong and sturdy.

These are a good choice for a small bowl. We love that it they are an eco friendly option, and they are still durable and functional.

The area that we are in has already banned a lot of plastic products. We know plastic bowls will be banned soon so we went head a switched over to the ecofriendly bowls. The customers really like the switch and the bowls are still really sturdy.

Very limited to what you can use these for - they easily tip over / very light / not very sturdy. Used as a disposable candy dish , nuts / popcorn / Tater tot as more uspacale than standard red&white “boats”

The compostable bowls are a great size for our annual soup and salad lunch. The lip provides some 'safety' measure to help prevent spills as the staff walks down the buffet line and back to their seat.

These are nice bowls for small servings of any type of dish. We use them for their versatility in our school's snack time and are happy with the durability. I'm also very happy to know that I can put them right into the compost bin. At this price, I will definitely be ordering more in the future!

Though compostable, these bowls can still hold up to liquids, even hot ones (though I'm not sure for how long, we didn't test that). The bottom is indeed narrow, but if that's what you are looking for they are great.

These are the best biodegradable bowls on the market that I have come across. What I love the most about these is how sturdy they are. They do not break easily and can hold a lot of food. The price is excellent at Webstaurant. I will be purchasing more of these soon.

Looking for an eco-friendly bowl these come at a good price, and they are fairly sturdy. But, as others have said, the shape of the bowl makes it kind of feel like wasted space. The lip of the bowl is quite large. In some cases this can be nice for holding/passing to a customer, or I also do like them in the instance of pictures because you can carry a tiny bit of chocolate drizzle or whatever sauce onto the edge and it just looks nice. One other problem I notice is it can be hard to get these bowls apart. Overall, though, a nice option as long as you are sure the size will work for what you need because there will be no wiggle room.

These bowls hold up great! They are the perfect size for a serving of soup and never had an issue with the bowl breaking down or getting soggy. Amazing value!!!
