This is an excellent knife, especially for the price. It feels good in my hand, being the perfect weight. The textured plastic grip makes it easy to hold even with wet hands. I would highly recommend it to anybody wanting a knife for home use or for kitchens where the cook won't be bringing their own knives.

I recently purchased this knife and I have to say, I absolutely love it! Despite being the least expensive one I bought, it's also the most comfortable to use. I'm very impressed with the quality and value of this knife and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a new kitchen knife.

I work in a healthcare kitchen and needed a new chef's knife. Since I don't like to leave expensive knives laying around my kitchen and don't want the bother of carrying my knives back and forth, I was looking for a decent knife at a decent price. I own some incredibly expensive knives and take kitchen cutlery very seriously so I was surprised when this knife far exceeded my expectations and lived up to the hype surrounding it. I acclimated to it quickly and it performs beautifully with the basic everyday tasks I use it for. Slicing raw meat, even bacon, is effortless. Veggies don't stand a chance. It's definitely not the work of art that my Miyabi is, but it's a functional workhorse at a steal of a price. I'd buy it again and would be proud to give it as a gift.

This is the perfect balance between a paring knife and 8 inch chefs knife! Great for a variety of tasks without feeling too small or large in the hand, I always find myself reaching for this knife.

Good knife quality for the price - not going to last forever but if you treat them right will be a good workhorse for a year.

Hands down one of the best sized chef's knife for everyday use. The quality of the cutting given the lightweight design on first holding is completely dispelled and is a joy to handle and slice. The knife handles comfortably well when used with wet dripping hands as it does with dry hands. The clean up is a breeze and the handle does not soak up any water despite the given porous texture of the fibrox handle. Will definitely buy more of these.

I have two Victornox Chef's knives, an eight inch and a ten inch, and they're amazing. Incredibly sharp, takes an edge easily, and highly durable. I started with the ten inch, which I've had for almost two years now, and it works great. However it was a bit cumbersome for some things (like breaking down bell peppers) so I bought the eight inch and fell in love with it. The eight is my go to now but I still carry both. I use the big guy for squashes and larger, harder, fruits and veg as well as slicing/trimming/chopping roast, loin, or skirt. The eight inch, as I said, is my go to for everything else. I use it all day, every day, on fruit, veg, meat, and everything inbetween. While I generally love Victorinox knives, I found these chef knives uncomfortable to use. When I tried to use my typical rocking motion for chopping, my knuckles kept banging on the cutting board, and even regular cutting of vegetables was less than comfortable for the same reason. That said, the blade is sharp and the price is affordable, as would be expected from Victorinox and Webstaurant.

This is my favorite chef's knife of the 5 that I own. It was also the least expensive. Very comfortable and easy to clean. It glides beautifully and came out of the box super sharp.

This is a nicely made knife, and I have a few. Downside is that none of mine have stayed sharp for long. WIth regular sharpening, they are cheap and serviceable in any home kitchen, though they are not my first choice for a cheap knife.

These are my favorite knifes to use in my Culinary Arts program. They are lightweight and comfortable to hold. They sharpen well and are a great value for the price.

Nice strong flexible blade, Use it sometimes to cut sushi rolls and slice salmon fillets since its blade is very sharp and thin. Not good for rocking chop.

Truly the best knife I’ve ever used. Extremely sharp and makes cutting through everything I’ve tried an absolute breeze. Handle feels safe and secure to use; no slipping as with other types of handles. The knife is a bit lighter than I would prefer, but the sharpness of the blade negates most of the need for heft. The sharpness really does all of the work for you. Will purchase again for friends in the market for new knives.

Great knife, works effectively for a mid length knife in the kitchen. Comes very sharp and usable and easy to clean and keep sharp. Good grip, good knife

tays sharp and hones with a steel very well. It's now my primary go-to knife in the kitchen until I find a better replacement. The bad thing about it is that the handle angles up toward the end which makes the blade sit tip-up in your hand. For me, at least, this is not a comfortable nor normal position for any use. It took a bit of getting used to and now I can use it safely, but this is the first knife I've used that when first using it, I accidentally stabbed my hand, requiring stitches. If you get one, please be cautious.

The Victorinox 8" is much lighter than I anticipated but I find myself reaching for it very often. It feels good and secure in the hand and chops vegetables and meats very nicely.

I'm in love with this chef's knife. The price point is considerably low considering the high quality. The knife rocks from the belly very well, has a good weight, is durable, and has a really great non-slip gripped handle that can get wet without becoming slippery. I would say that for the price, this is the best knife you're going to find.

I love this knife I use it almost everyday for cutting up whole chickens I use it to cut up our chicken roll ups. Sometimes I use it to chop up veggies really fast. All in all it’s a great knife with a very sharp blade and many uses I would recomend this knife to anyone.

I would recommend this knife to be used in every kitchen. By using it, it would cut your prep time down dramatically compared to other knives in the same price range. It is also very well made so don't be surprised if this lasts for many years to come.

These Victorinox knives with Fribrox handles are truly the best value out there for the money. The blades are nice and sharp when we receive them and easily stay sharpened for a while. We cannot buy enough of these for our kitchen!

This Chef Knife is a bit shorter than other chef's knives, but it carries the same excellent sharp edge as other Victorinox knives. Highly recommended.

My go to knife for any young chef or folks still learning. Great balance, maintains edge decently well, and NSF. This is the knife I use at home as a general all purpose when I first started cooking. Affordable, well made, and is a great beginner knife.

Excellent quality chef knife, with great edge retention. In my experience, best when sharpened to a 20 degree symmetric bevel on a fixed angle sharpener. At 15 degrees the edge doesn't hold long enough, and at 30 degrees, you lose a bit of sharpness. The knife heel is a bit taller than 2" and does not fit 2" blade guards.

I didn't know what I was missing in the kitchen until I bought this knife. Very heavy duty and stays sharp. I use it for all kinds of prep on a daily basis and have never had an issue. I plan on buying many more!!

This is an excellent quality knife. The handle is easy to grip and will not slip through your hands. It is comfortable to hold and easy to grasp. I love how sharp the blade stays, even after a lot of use.

This knife is a great size for more tasks that require more finesse, such as Piecing out a whole chicken. I don't prefer it for chopping as much as it's larger 10' sibling, but nonetheless this is an awesome knife. Especially for the price!

I am very happy with the price and quality of this knife. It was recommended by Christopher Kimball on Cook's Country or America's Test Kitchen, and now I am recommending it! This knife is easy to use and lightweight. I have medium sized hands and the 7 1/2" length turns out to be the perfect length for me. I have a 9" knife that feels very awkward to use for everyday chopping so I reserve it for watermelons, butternut squashes and the like. These Victorinox knives have been awesome for us. It was hard to find a decent knife that held up to the abuse of our kitchen staff. These have held up great so far.

This one is the biggest knife in my knife block and yet the most comfortable to use. I've been using it for doing almost all of my cutting in the kitchen. I could cut open a pumpkin with very little force and I could mince a shallot right after with absolutely no trouble and with ease. I might try the 8-inch knife also for the variety of size but at the price, I thought it was a steal.

Victorinox is a great brand and maker of kitchen knifes and their Fibrox lineup is one of the best cost effective knife lines out there in my opinion. To me this 7.5" is a nice in between chefs knife size its significantly shorter than the 8in chef's and is a favorite of my significant other who has a bit smaller hands.

You really cant go wrong with this knife. It's our favorite. We found this one at 1/4 the cost of anything comparable. It sharpens easily and rarely needs it. We originally saw it one Americas Test Kitchen and will never go back to another. Thanks Victorinox!
