you get what you pay for . . . i have never had an avaweigh scale last for more than 6 months. The last one I bought in September stopped working in January! Can anybody recommend a compact digital scale that actually is durable and can handle a commercial kitchen???

It has 1.7 second react delay when showing the weight. Don't get or think to buy it, bad product ever have

I have one of these and love it and wanted to purchase again. The top is slightly different and it takes sooo long to update the display when you add ingredients. It is unusable for my needs as I can't be standing waiting. I am not sure exact time but it is long enough where I thought it was broken at first and not reading anything. I am going to try to get a refund so I can get a different scale.

I'm a Grande Pastry Chef with not a lot of time to spare. The scale lags, it takes like 3-5 seconds to give you a precise weight. I ordered 2, and one of them came in with a defect. The gram measurement was off by a 1 tenth. This is difficult for employees to assess situation no matter how many times you explain.(Sigh) This scale is not recommend. It is not worth the time, money, and hassle.

This works well but I wish that you could set it to turn on to the weight measurement that we use. Every time we turn it on, we have to push the button over and over until we get to the grams.

This scale is so much better than my old tiny one. It makes me want to actually use it, which is great since I never actually ever use my old school because it was too much of a pain. This one rules

Really fantastic digital scale. This is the same model we use in our kitchen in pastry school, so I’ve purchased it for my home as well. Great sensitivity (measures to half a gram) and durability while also being easy to use and clean.

I was looking for a scale to up my bread game. I make sourdough and challah usually and the scale I had was not the best. It had the habit of cutting off at inopportune times and losing my tare settings, furthermore it would revert back to ounces every time! third the unit switching button was on the bottom. I knew when I saw this scale it had just what I needed. First it is accurate to .5 grams. Next it has a power cord and doesn't turn off by itself. All the buttons are on top at the front and it will weigh up to ten pounds. It has a well sized weighing platform and it's easy to read. Everything my old scale wasn't. If you make bread do yourself a favor and get this one. Don't keep suffering with the cheap ones.

Customer service by Webrestaurant was great because the first one we ordered in May 2025 stopped working early June - just a month. The replacement they sent, same model, didn't even work at all. So we got store credit instead. This model is horrible. Don't order. Webrestaurant should remove this from inventory ASAP.

These were our go-to scales for years. However, something has changed and they are no longer the same. The new one's measured weight jumps around and the same product weighs different amounts. I recommend choosing a different scale until they go back to their old software or parts or whatever they changed.

Not sure what has happened to this product. We have been using this brand of scale for years. There is now a delay in the read out. Sounds like not a big deal, but when you are pouring things to be weighed, you need it to be instant and accurate. Got one, thought it was broken, so requested a replacement. Got the new one, same thing, Useless for our application.

Did not meet my expectations too slow for my needs

Love this little scale!! We bought the larger 110 pound one at first, but it was not made for portioning. This one was perfect for smaller portioning. It is sort of hard to clean under the top. Works very well though.

I use this scale on a regular basis in both cooking and in packaging our product for grab and go. I've been very happy with the ease of use and reliability.

bought two of these scales in the end of April. one stopped working almost immediately and the second one stopped working last week.

Garbage. Did not last long. Will not scale correctly

Takes entirely too long to update measurements. I have tried everything and the only thing that helps is waiting a over 30seconds each time you add weight. Very unrealistic and defeats the whole purpose of using a scale. Also would only increase grams in .5 increments. A waste of money, would leave a negative star review if I could.

Overall, in a high-volume shop, you can expect it to last 12–48 months, in our experience.

I bought this 20 lb scale less than 2 months ago, and up until now it has worked great. But today if decided to stop registering any weight above .010 lbs. I have never exceeded even 10 lbs of weight on this scale, never dropped it, never gotten it wet, cleaned it regularly, changed the batteries, etc. I have probably only used it 2–3 times per week. I’m very disappointed. Save your money for a scale that is durable enough to last longer than 6 weeks!

It does not weigh properly.

I've had three of these fail on me within the past 9 months. They're good when they're working but they seem bound to malfunction, and sometimes very quickly. Don't waste our time and money!

I purchased this scale back in July and have already had to replace it once and is broken in the same exact way. The scale will lose calibration and will refuse to be calibrated correctly after that. This is not a “commercial grade” scale as they advertise and will not last in a commercial setting. Do yourself a favor and skip this scale.

It is the worst scale i have used and might and well be a big box store scale, it has a 2 second lag and is never accurate havwnt had a bad batch of gummies in over 2 years and my last 2 batches are off aabecause of this scale. Lots of money in the garbage because of this scale. Now im afraid to order any of the other scales.

The scale seems to work well enough, but it is slow to catch up. When you put items on the scale in a fast-paced environment, you can mistakenly think the weight has settled, remove the product and move on. However, when you put the product back on the scale and wait, you can get a different reading. We wanted to use the scale to weigh 4 ounce patties. We want to do it quickly and accurately. While the numbers have 3 places beyond the decimal point, it has very set values in those three points. In other words, you cannot get 3.050 and add a pinch to get 3.051, for example. It will only jump in set increments, so that isn't truly accurate either. Finally, the tray that sits on the scale has 4 little plastic "legs" that keep it steady. 3 of the 4 have broken off, so the scale is now officially 100% useless after exactly 1 year.

My item is damaged

This scale just stops working after about a month of work. Doesn't turn on. Have gone thru 3 of them all lasting less than 6 months.

It breaks down in 3 months, too slow for reading. So disappointed!!

They break easily, especially the plugs. I've purchased many of these because of their ease of use and price. I also had one that won't register any weight added to it. I ordered several at once to have as back ups. So unfortunately when I really needed one, it didn't work.

When you add weight to the scale slowly it doesn't register it. I slowly added 10g of weight over the course of several seconds and the scale remained at 0. After quickly removing all the weights, the scale now registered negative.

Does a nice job for us

Decent scale. Reads a little slow, and is not that reliable for very small amounts, like under 1/2 lb. Works great at other ranges. We just learned where to use it in our kitchen and dedicated another for the small things.

have bought many of these avaweigh scales all junk. Only last a few months. screen has come loose and the letters are shot.
