Don’t waste your money trying to save money. Our business purchased this as well as several other avantco refrigeration products. We are constantly having to check temps and monitor the units because they do not cool properly. Currently on the 3rd service call in 3 months. The warranty tech that came out said we will always regret buying such cheap equipment. We have lost food in this freezer twice. If we had a doover we’d wait until we could afford the better equipment.

Would not recommend. We spent a few weeks trying to get one fixed, and eventually we just had to get it replaced. Now, earlier this year we had another one break. We were told that the condenser fan was broken, and that the part would be in in a few weeks. Now, about 4 months later, the freezer is still sitting here, still broken.. We have called the manufacturer, and the repair service. Nowhere on the entire internet can i find this part, and nobody we have called knows where it is, or when it will be in, First we were told a few weeks, then we were told 2 months, then we were told late April, now were told late May, and im sure when we call again, they'll say late June. Absolutely ridiculous. They're still making these freezers so seemingly the part exists somewhere, but until they can get their crap together were stuck with a comically large paperweight. The part we need is 17816215, so if anyone out there has information on where i can get it please let me know.

Well, the freezer didn't do too bad. 14 months of service and then it conked out on me. Need a whole new fan installed to cool down the compressor. Probably wouldn't get this unless you need something on the cheaper side temporary because you're not going to get longevity out of it.

1 STAR TO MUCH. AFTER 1 YEAR AND 10 MONTHS COMPRESSOR STOPPED WORKING. WAS TOLD THAT WILL RECEIVE NEW ONE BUT I HAVE TO PAY $600 FOR LABOR TO REPLACE COMPRESSOR. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRAND IN GENERAL. CHINA MADE.

Trash. Ordered this freezer and had it delivered two weeks ago. Moved it into the restaurant and got it out of the packaging and pallet to find what was clearly a pre owner freezer. We were surprised it did not have any of the adhesive tape that covers stainless appliances but then upon closer inspection it was clear it was on the unit at one point but had all been removed except for the areas that take a little effort. The shelves were not zip tied together like every other fridge and freezer I have ever purchased. Instead they were thrown in the freezer loosely. The clips that hold the shelves which always come in a bag were also tossed into the unit except for a few where half on them were clipped in but were done so upside down by somebody who had no idea what they were doing. Read More

Hasn’t functioned properly since installation. Had a repair person out to inspect under warranty, defrosted the freezer and claimed that would solve the problem. Two weeks later the same thing, holding food at 20 degrees, not -5 as it’s set. Currently waiting for another warranty repair person to come again. The wait for one of their reps to come inspect has been 4 days on average. That’s too long to be without a properly functioning freezer.

We purchased this item on November 30, 2018. It is not even 2 years old and the product has torn up twice. The second time was in September 2020 and we are told that what is wrong with it, that it is not repairable. It is the fan that prevents the door from freezing together. So this company does not honor their product and I will never purchase another product by this name again. Companies need to realize if they dont back their product then people will not purchase their products anymore. I give this product a 0-1 star because the looks of this product is good but the quality is not.

I would not recommend buying this brand Avantco, we had this freezer for less than a year and it broke. The repair is covered under warranty but the company would not allow us to use our repair service and selected one themselves. It has now been four weeks and the unit is still not repaired.

Hate to have to write this because I loved the freezer. Unfortunately the compressor went you at 14 months after purchase. Thankfully I had purchased the extended warranty but I was quoted a lot to replace the compressor just in additional parts and labor even though the compressor was supposedly covered. I would have had to pay for my own coolant and a bunch of other stuff. I would recommend going to a big box store and buying a bigger residential freezer for less than half the price that more than likely will last long and if nothing else has parts you can buy for it.

The freezer worked great for a couple months, however it didn't take long for the temp to not stay down, and it has reached a point of needing to buy a brand new freezer (it's been less than 2 years). Basically techs are saying it will be more cost efficient to buy a better freezer than to try and fix this hunk a junk. Nothing stays frozen in this anymore. And avantco barely offered any assistance in solving the solution.

I’ve been in business for about 37 years and as a restaurant owner we all dread the repair costs of Refrigiration and in most cases it’s more cost effective to buy new. This unit was working properly for about 3 months. It’s a piece of junk not even worthy of the landfill or wherever it will wind up. I’ve waisted more than $500 so far (not to mention wasted food and deserts) and It would be working long enough for the installed part to run out of warranty. Consider buying this unit if you like a money pit in your restaurant. I wish I could give it negative 5 stars.

Item fits perfect in the space we have available. Item also holds a considerable amount of food. Very pleased with item and shipping.

I own the unit for 18 months, it stopped cooling/freezing. and I thought to myself how unfortunate that the freezer went bad on me 6 months after the warranty would cover. I bought the item new to last long and to avoid repairs. Purchased May 2020, stopped working Dec 2021.

DO NOT BUY THIS! SERIOUSLY!! We own several different pieces of avantco equipment & have not had any problems, but this freezer is GARBAGE! I hesitated when ordering based on the reviews & thought they should have it sorted out buy now. The freezer does not cool at all, I contacted webstaurant for help & they sent me to contact the manufacturer. I’ve reached out to the manufacturer 2 times with no help or update. Disappointed in Avantco since they haven’t let me down before but even more so in Webstaurant since Avantco is like a house brand for them & they haven’t aided at all in a fixing the GARABE FREEZER they sold me. We have spent $50k + on the last year or so with them & it’s sad this is the service we have received. Seriously do not buy this & spend a bit more money & buy something else. It’s sad that I bought a freezer for $400 less & it hasn’t missed a beat.

Very good freezer overall. Easily adjustable shelving inside. My only complaint is that when you open the door and the temperature drops a few degrees, the door becomes incredibly difficult to open again.

We buy exclusively Avantco, and so far no issues. The way I see it, we can buy Avantco, and if we get 3 years out of it we saved money buying a more expensive brand. My preventative maintenance guy tells me they're all made the same these days anyway... Either way we 3 restaurants, and the oldest units we have are 5 1/2 years old, and have had zero repairs. we have a 2x a year preventative maintenance plan, and so far has done us very well.

Has a good amount of space and is easy to connect. You are able to lock it, which is very convenient and it freezes quickly. Delivery was fast and easy.

freezer did not even last 2 years, only has a 1 year warranty. i do not recommend this product the warranty is terrible.

This unit was recommended to me by our refrigeration company. They said that this brand is not one they get a lot of service calls for and it's a good value for the money. I thank them for the recommendation! This unit is great, plenty of space, looks good and haven't had any issues with it. Be prepared to have plenty of people to help get it in the building though because the delivery driver just drops it off, they don't help with the install.

Dead on arrival. Called the service company. Couple of day later, technician came and told me the compressor is bad. And, they don't have the compressor in stock. He doesn't know when they will have the compressor in stock. They will let me know when they will have it. I should have changed the compressor on my 10 year old freezer. It would have been cheaper and less headache. Stay away.

So far I love this freezer. The delivery went very smoothly and quickly. The freezer keeps the ice I store in it nice and frozen and holds 50 tubs, most quite as big as my old one but it’s a great feeezer and a good price ! Because I enrolled in th “plus” program, shipping was free.

So far 7 months in and it works good, I'd say great, but if you stock it FULL of product It doesn't seem to freeze well, all product becomes soft, even thawed on very bottom shelf.

The overall design of this freezer is okay. The problem is all of the materials used to build it are of the lowest quality. I am a restaurant equipment repair manager and have 20 years experience and have performed warranty work on Continental, True, and Beverage Air. If you do a high volume, this freezer is not for you.

fast shipping, great quality, had it for a year now and had no issue, very quiet motor. hope it will last for a lone time.

I dont recommend this freezer. I bought it in october 2020. Now august 2022 and it is not maintaining the temperature. I called tech support and they helped out and recommended to call a local technician. Spend a little extra money on a better brand.

just two months from 3 years of use, condenser fan stopped working. I'm going try to replace the condenser fan myself but this freezer's unit all under, will be a tough job to do! rather working with units on top. Final thought DONT BUY THIS ONE!

From the day it arrived it would douse all of the frozen foods with water during defrost mode destroying everything. Operations are really affected. Web restaurant says it’s a warranty repair. Bear in mind that when they say warranty repair that means someone will get to you in two weeks. Keep that in mind when you choose to go with an undependable brand like this

This 2 door reach in freezer is excellent. It comes very well packed and ready to install. It is very quiet and holds temp around -6 or so. The doors auto seal after each time you close them which is a great feature. I would def recommend this freezer.

Purchased this machine and it was working good until one month in. Now the machine can't reach near 0 degrees, even if I set it to -1 degrees. It isn't stable on temperature wise and I purchased warranty and left a voicemail, still no reply. We had items in our store that is required to be in set temperature to be best served such as ice cream, etc. I would reccomend if you have items that have wiggle room for temperature control, if not I would just spend a extra couple hundred for a better freezer.

It is an affordable freezer, but would recommend buying a more expensive model that will potentially last. Webstaurant was great about sending someone out the first time the compressor went out, but since it has not gone into defrost mode. So once a month we have to manually defrost the freezer, which is a giant pain.

Keeps temperature well and provides lots of room for frozen product. The only issue I have is that it does not open for about 30 seconds after the door closes. Apparently there is some sort of suction created that prevents the door from being opened too often. Not sure if this is standard on newer freezers but makes it hard to constantly pull product out during our busy periods.

We just bought this freezer a couple weeks ago, working pretty good so far, the delivery was on time, really happy with the purchase. Good freezer.

Awesome! Automatic temperature control and easy to clean. Just plug it in. Easy to move and operate. Save yourself money and buy this as this works as good as the more expensive ones. Highly recommend!!

This freezer stopped holding temp after 6 months of use. I have thawed meats I need to toss which resulted in a a huge amount of lost sales.

Do not buy this product. My freezer went out Jan. 2024. Bought item December 2021. Never really used the freezer. One day we notice the temperature was over 100 degrees and it was very hot. I guess the compressor went out. We just unplugged it. A lot of money wasted for a product that was never put to use but was available if I needed it. Now I guess I will need to buy a new one.

This product is priced perfectly. It is perfect for our establishment and needs. We love the Avantco products.we purchased this within the year and have zero issues.

Product worked for a year and a half, now it has a leak in the compressor . When checking to see if it was under warranty I was told no, you should have paid for a extended warranty. So if you do buy make sure you buy the extra warranty.

Very happy with the product, we were able to unload with a fork lift, and had it set up in an hour. Working great.
