I was excited to get this until I cut my fingers twice while opening this. The edges of the splash guards are RAZOR SHARP. My employee also cut her finger trying to pull the plastic off. Avantco needs to spend a little more time getting these things SAFE for use. Anyone trying to prepare food on these will find their fingers cut up if they hit the edges. I had to get a sander and sand down the edges before putting in my kitchen. Great looking unit. Horrible QA.

Nice adjustable feet and it was nice that the surface came protected in oil. After burning that off, I applied some sunflower oil and cranked it until it smoked. Handled another round, then it was on to cooking. Turned out bean and griddled cheese tacos to the crew.

Only had this grill for a few days and already couldn't live without it. Just an incredible value for the money. I tested the temperature and found the thermostat to be dead on and calibrated to the center of the grill, and the 1/2" thick grill surface heats evenly all over. In fact, from the hottest point to the coolest point, I found less than 20 degrees F differential. I would definitely buy this grill again.

We bought this electric griddle time ago. We use it all day long, 365 days per year, always switched on. It is really an amazing product!

This grill is perfect for food trucks and outdoor events. I heats up fast and takes at least 20 minutes to cool. Easy washing afterwards. Very easy to control temp. settings. All around great buy.

Purchased this Griddle July 2023- by May 2024 it stopped working. It would heat up all the even if it was turned to off. There was no adjusting temp, wouldnt cool down. Got a replacement one since under warrenty. Here we are not even a year later starting to have the same issues. Not fully shutting off unless unplugged, i have to set the temp lower than we want it. Was told by customer support we use it to much for the unit size (we keep the temp at 300-350 degrees and are only open for 6 hours in the mornings). Great little unit for our thight kitchen space but doesnt last.

Work horse. I bought 2 of them couple of years ago. They still work great.

Very easy to use. Just make sure you have the right electric outlets to support this kind of high usage. Easy to clean and stays hot.

I was really skeptical when I first ordered this product, it just seemed the price was too great. I have to tell you this is a great heavy duty grill. I run it about 10 hours a day and have never had any problems. The grill is easy to clean and makes anything from eggs to hamburgers. Also easy to keep clean and you will love the way it keeps the temperature constant. Great!!

Don’t get turned offf by the cheap price and 120 volt power..this little bad boy works like a charm. Heats up and stays hot for whatever you need. Recovery time is fast..

Really like this flat top! It' has been awesome to use! Great for burgers , bacon and pancakes! I use it nearly everyday. Has a good size grease trap and is pretty easy to clean!

Great little work horse of a griddle. Be careful not to throw the legs out with the packaging as they are very hard to find in the box (surprisingly.)

The Avantco EG16N 16" Electric Countertop Griddle is great, this has been ordered in the past but this is the first review that has been done we will be ordering more for the sandwich shop.

Great price and value for what you get . Great for small spaces

Works well until it doesn't. We purchased it in Oct and in Dec the next year it failed...two months out of warranty and WebstraurantStore wouldn't help us with repairs or provide any discount on a replacement. They wouldn't even cover the extra fee for expedited processing of a replacement unit. So, we purchased a replacement unit with an extended 4 year warranty from some place else for less cost.

We bought two of these June 2023 both of the heating elements went out at the same time. Would not recommend this product!

Great electric grill. Heats up very fast and easy to clean. Simple to use and does not take up alot of space at all.

This little Griddle works out perfect for our Trailer, and tent set ups. We use it for grilling tortillas, onions, peppers, bacon, eggs, etc. Had no issues with it.

Use every day and doesn’t let me down. Maintains temperature well.

You cannot go wrong with this unit. Total work horse.

Bought a scratch and dent model years ago. Still going strong. It's seen some industrial use and some home use. Great for a small sandwich shop or diner, or for a home cook who wants an upgrade over a slab of cast iron slapped on top of their stove (just be careful of smoke if you live in a small apartment). Nice size grease trap for the size of the griddle! Sometimes takes a minute to get hot, as is usually the case with electric flat tops, but maintains temperature nicely.

We upgraded to this form a panini press and should have made the upgrade a long time ago! Work great and meets all our expectations! 10 out of 10!!

We only use on weekends for breakfast but for the most part this heats up quick and hasnt let us down yet so I would reccommend

I ordered this to have as a backup and for light duty use as I normally use our larger gas griddle for everyday use. This one is perfect to have on hand for slower times and smaller batch cooking. Works great for quesadillas and toast - things that don't produce a lot of grease. Once we open back up for normal business I will definitely be using this more often.

Awesome little griddle. Bought this as a backup to our gas griddle and after trying it decided to put it into service to grill buns and plant based burgers so there is no cross-contamination. A great price for a quality product. We have several Avantco products and trust them all daily. Great manufacturer.

Such a great piece of equipment. I was worried about the temperature not getting hot enough due to having to buy electric as opposed to propane, this unit delivers an accurate temp and an even cooking surface. Easy cleaning and sturdy build. We may be going for the next size up!!!

This griddle makes food delicious. It cleans easily which is a plus in kitchen. The heat goes up the way we liked but it takes a bit of time.

Great counter top grills. Perfect for eggs, french toast and other quick heat items for my small cafe. Would recommended highly if you have limited space.

Wow! Do not be fooled by the low price of this grill, it is amazing and very heavy duty. It takes a while to heat up, but it stays hot once it’s ready. Perfect for burgers or making breakfast. Buy this!

Sturdy little griddle great for the small space in our food trailer. Grease trap is a good size. Heats up quickly. We did find that this griddle needs to be plugged in on a circuit by itself. It would not blow the breaker but the griddle would not get enough power to heat up properly.

Very durable little unit. We just use for toasting bread so never have a problem with heat retention. Very easy to use and clean. Keep in mind it is not NSF, which reflects in the price.

This grill is awesome! It can fit nine four inch patties and cook them in about six minutes. Highly recommend this product. I have had no problems. I own two of them and use one for them toasting hamburger buns. Highly recommended for concession stands or food trucks. Half the price of other brands. I cook about 75 to 150 burgers a day on mine. Only bad thing is it drops in temp and can take a bit to recover but if you plan ahead you can get around that.

This griddle heats up quick and holds heat well. The deep size makes it easy to cook multiple eggs, pancakes, bacon, or whatever you want quickly.

We have a tiny kitchen and this flat top has been a saving grace. Fitting next to our induction burner it has a relatively small foot print. Runs 8 hours a day 7 days a week with no problems.

That's already our second Avantco and we have one more to buy, as of today we have never experienced any huge issues. Definitely worth buying!
