Reviews for Choice 2 and 4 Qt. Green Square Polypropylene Food Storage Container Lid

Ordered 14 of these lids. A couple were damaged (cracked/torn on the rim) upon arrival. Still functioned as a cover albeit not airtight as none of these lids are airtight. Opening and closing the lids will shred the edges a bit, I've found tiny bits of blue plastic in the food. Within a couple of months over half of the lids cracked and tore. Flimsy plastic, once a crack starts one can literally tear it apart with their own hands. Very disappointed in the quality. Also have the smaller sizes, green and red, they have not cracked or torn. It's definitely the largest size that is susceptible to easy damage.

I bought the 6qt container and this lid to store flour, sugar, etc. However, little bits of red plastic kept flaking off the lid and falling down into the food being stored in the container so I stopped using them for food storage. Very disappointed in the quality of this lid and would not recommend it to anyone.

For such an awesome line of polycarbonate food storage containers, Choice really dropped the ball with this lid. I am just always knocking it off by accident, or not getting a great closure. If I am storing items overnight in the refrigerator I still need to use plastic wrap or a food safe can liner over top to ensure no loss of moisture.

I ordered these lids and matching food storage containers a few months back. Out of the box they looked great, but in a few days, a couple of the lids cracked through normal use.

I got 5 lids for the 12 qt container. The first one broke on the very first day of use and the second one is showing signs of breaking. The containers themselves are very sturdy and well made. I also got the 2qt containers and lids (green color) from the same brand and those have been working great for me. I wish these lids were better made.

I cannot understand how anyone is rating these above one star! THEY DO NOT SEAL. The storage containers are absolutely useless to us, because they cannot achieve anything close to an airtight seal.

Alert! Super bad quality! The plastic is so hard. It won’t fit your 2qt jar! Do not buy this brand!

These lids are to be purchased with the choice polycarbonate containers. They are ok, but I have had a few crack, so when they are used heavily that may be a problem.

When they fit they are great, but we've had a couple that just don't fit the containers. Frustrating!

I have some of these in another color and I feel oddly like these ones broke a little easier than my red ones. I would recommend buying extras.

Wasn't strong enough to contain pizza dough but what really is. I need a couple more tries before really grading this. Feels durable and has a snug fit but unsure if it could manage keeping items inside if dropped.

Great quality storage containers, very sturdy, and a good size for storing bulk ingredients efficiently. I can fit two rows of the 8 quart containers in my 20 inch deep cabinets. I really appreciate being able to buy replacement lids separately.

No issues with these lids. They are not water-tight on the bucket, but that is okay for my use. There have been not tears yet. Cleans easy.

These tops work well for the price. Not as airtight as we’d like, but they certainly get the job done efficiently. I would recommend their use.

Good, sturdy lid that fits perfectly on our Choice containers. Easy to clean and holds up well after constant use.

After several weeks of frequent use in the kitchen, the lid has performed quite well: it makes it easy to keep my ingredients organized, protects them from dust, and helps with stacking. However, I would not use it to transport precious liquids or very liquid foods on long journeys, unless it is reinforced with an additional seal.

Lids are well made, they don't crack and hold up through lots of washes.

Great sturdy lid that fits the square 12 quart container. It snaps on and is snug. doesn't pop off.

fit the containers it was made for, but other brand containers didn't stay good

Perfect companion to the Choice 8 qt. food storage container. I use it when brining ribs and have used it when prepping large amounts of onions. The lid keeps the onion odor in while in the frig. If you are buying the 8 qt Choice container then you will want this lid.

These lids fit the containers wonderfully. They're easy to wash and we don't worry about the containers not being sealed.

Decent lid for this container. It’s a tight fit so it keeps any smell of the contents of the container contained. No cracks in it thus far which is great as we’ve been using it for years.

The lids does not fit the container and they break. First time I order the lids fit. Last time now they are all broke

The containers seem fine but the lids are useless. They do not snap on and are flimsy. A total disappointment. Now I have to pay for shipping to return and find another product. Ughhh.

This choice red square food storage container lids. Seals the container perfectly. The lids made so you can easily put another container on top of it or a hey don’t take much space to store together.
