This Ateco cake tester is great! We used to use toothpick at our bakery to test cake but in such a high volume production facility, it became impractical to keep buying wooden toothpicks when we can just buy one tool that will last forever! We at miFLAVOUR highly recommend this cake tester!

These make testing your cake much easier. no more burning your hand on the rack above the cake your testing, like we all do when trying to use tooth picks!

I actually love this cake tester, always used toothpicks before purchasing this. I actually purchased two different ones to compare, this one is my preferred choice. I know when the tester comes out clean my baked item is done & it’s always been accurate.

I use this cake tester with every cake that I baked. Works better better than the trusty toothpick!

my favorite way of testing cakes and cupcakes, the pin is skinny enough that it wont deflate the cakes or cupcakes when testing the centers

Nice, easy to use & great to have on hand in bulk. We use them daily, clean in the dishwasher & I haven't had any that have broken or rusted yet.

The Ateco 1445 Cake Tester is the standard in the industry. Works reliably and is well made to survive being tossed around and kept in a random kitchen drawer with other utensils.

The product works fine. I have purchased 2 and all though it is a little flimsy it works for the. I would have like something without plastic on the end.

Performs job adequately. Minimum flex but not brittle. Flat tip, good for testing doneness of vegetables, marbling liquids, etc. Wipes clean. Good design- textured on both sides for grip with an indentation for finger pad on top.

These cake testers are a great idea. I love having something reusable to test doneness instead of using toothpicks. However, the steel is very smooth and as such, it doesn't pick up a lot of batter. I have found that it can come out clean on a cake that is still quite under-cooked because the wet batter doesn't stick to the metal. Great idea, not the best execution.

These cake testers did not work very well. We decided to use toothpicks instead.They seem to be so small that they did not work for us anyways. Would not recommend them.

I love this little gadget! great especially for the price. better than using toothpicks for testing and has a great grip up top too. Would highly recommend

I affectionately call these my “pokies” because they do test for doneness without damaging our cakes. They are easy to clean, and won’t bake without them!

As far as cake testers go, this one works as well as others I have tried. I like the little handle, as it prevents slippage.

So much easier to use then a toothpick. I am glad I found something reusable instead of buying and tossing toothpicks. Just throw it in the dishwasher and it’s good to go.

This cake tester is a handy tool if you are a baker. I would use a toothpick before to check my cakes which can be wasteful. Try to stay away from the dishwasher with this one

So much better than using a toothpick. The steel and plastic construction makes it easier to clean. Order several they are small and could be easily lost.

We use these handy testers with cakes of all sizes and scones as well. The thin probe leaves very little trace of entry. The metal does bend easily, but that's to be expected given the thin width. Recommended.

These are a great alternative to toothpicks! I use this every time I bake, whether its a pie or a cake or something savory. I will admit these are a bit easy to break though if bent.

Love these, used to use toothpicks, they are easy to clean and thin enough so it does not leave holes in the cakes. Exactly as stated and at a good price.

This works fine. It’s super thin so you barely see a hole. I use this on a daily basis for so many things, mostly to meat and fish . I’m ordering more.

Works good but it gets too hot when inserted into a cake, but definitely does the job. And I dont have to buy toothpicks anymore
