This is an awesome product. You get all the basic colors in just one set and it is very easy to use. You can also mix the colors to get other very nice colors. It is also very affordable. I have not notice any changes in flavor while using these either.

I like gel coloring since it's so much more concentrated than liquid, you can get vibrant colors without changing the consistency of whatever you're coloring. I like the assortment of colors in this box. My only complaint is that the plastic seal on these is extremely difficult to get off, and the act of removing it will dye your fingers whatever color you're opening. It would be so much nicer if they were sealed with something with a tab.

I have many of these wilton gel paste colors. They are oil free so they will tint royal icing just fine. They work with fondant. They will not work for candy coating or chocolate. You only need a little to achieve a bright color. Also, they won't change the consitency of your frostings. Good product. You can mix and match your own colors with this set. The pot the colors come in is very small.

i usually prefer another brand in gel colours as it is a bottle to drip but i was pleasantly surprised with wilton. It coloured my fondant, royal icing and SMButtercream very vividly. i also like the variety of colours in the box. Remember the jars are .5 oz so its relatively small. Keep in mind wen deciding what quantity you want to purchase.
