I bought these to share with my neighbors but they all looked at me like I was nuts when I told them it takes a long time to cook them. Everyone wants to open a can I guess. Oh, welll! They are quite tasty! I made them with various rices and Barley. First with chicken, then just plain with no salt, butter, or anything only the rices and barley. Turned out spectacular. None of my neighbors, like me, even knew you could buy dry green peas. To give you a clue about what 20 lbs of dry green peas even looks like, I filled the large black square container from some Body Fortress protein powder plus a 3 quart container with a screw on lid like you get at Dollar Tree, and I gave my 1 neighbor around 2 or 3 quarts which he really didn't want, but I made him take them because we're on hard times lately from domestic and international events. It's a ridiculous amount of peas, but I love it. So does my fella.

Absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to find these locally in any bulk quantity! I can find small consumer size bags at double or more the cost of these, including shipping. So far they are going over just fine, will definitely order again!

It takes forever to cook. But the end product justifies the effort.i cook quite some and then store in the freezer so that I don't cook it every now and then. I definitely will reorder.

The dried whole green peas are wonderful. I love roasting these for a great tasting and healthy snack. They are a great buy and wonderful quality.
