Reviews for Dried Lentil Beans - 20 lb.

The beans are of good quality and are a pretty decent price for 20lbs of mixed beans. Like wise being pre-mixed is handy. My one issue is the packaging. It comes in plain box that is then shipped, and I feel like the beans should be inside a large plastic bag that is sealed inside the box to protect them from shipping contaminants.

Beans arrived in beautiful shape. They were in 5, 4 lb. plastic bags, Very clean and convenient. Beans look great. Glad they are from U.S. I am very satisfied. Best price I have found with amazing quality

I bought these to share with my neighbors but they all looked at me like I was nuts when I told them it takes a long time to cook them. Everyone wants to open a can I guess. Oh, welll! They are quite tasty! I made them with various rices and Barley. First with chicken, then just plain with no salt, butter, or anything only the rices and barley. Turned out spectacular. None of my neighbors, like me, even knew you could buy dry green peas. To give you a clue about what 20 lbs of dry green peas even looks like, I filled the large black square container from some Body Fortress protein powder plus a 3 quart container with a screw on lid like you get at Dollar Tree, and I gave my 1 neighbor around 2 or 3 quarts which he really didn't want, but I made him take them because we're on hard times lately from domestic and international events. It's a ridiculous amount of peas, but I love it. So does my fella.

I make a fair amount of hummus and these beans work very well. They aren't quite as good as the fresh ones our friend brought us straight from his field, but MUCH better than others I have purchased.

These are my overall favorite beans. I pressure cook them and add roasted green chilis, butter and sea salt. They have a clean taste. I cannot get a bulk quantity in my small community, so when I found them here, I was very happy. My pantry is stocked. Thanks for the quick delivery and excellent packaging.

Soaked to sprout for three days for enhanced nutrition and digestibility. Then slow cooked with olive oil and garlic. Results were creamy nutty tasting beans !

These come in a box, no liner. The lentils just spill out everywhere when you move it around. Other wise pretty good quality lentils, not much in the way of bugs or pebbles.

Mayocoba beans are the best. They taste just like pinto beans but they cook way faster with a lighter color. These beans are of great quality. They arrived very clean from inside the bag.

What an amazing price for a whole lot of beans! It's so nice to have my pantry bulging with lots of healthy and non-perishable proteins. Last year's winter was brutal in Boston with multiple weeks snowed in and transit shut down. This year I'll be ready for family, friends, and neighbors with big pots of beans and rice, soups, and chowders using my collection of dried beans from Webstaurant!

If you need just normal lentils these are the ones to GET. They cook very quickly but store very well in airtight containers also.

These lentils are split, they are not whole. I sprout before cooking and for salads etc, they can't sprout because they are split. I can still use them but not as I wanted to when I ordered them. So if you want red lentils that are whole look elsewhere, because Webstaurant.com does not include the split/whole status of these lentils in their description.

I can never find navy beans locally so I was excited to see these on Webstaurantstore! They can packed in smaller 2 pound bags inside the box so they were easy to handle. Made a great batch of navy bean soup!

High quality mayocoba beans at an affordable price. What's not to love? Very uniform in size. Cook quickly (24 minutes in an Instant Pot). Delicate flavor requires less seasoning (e.g., half as much coriander, cumin, pepper, etc. for beans and rice). My absolute favorite for soups and refried beans.

Got my mixed beans today - just in time - as I had just run out of my previous supply of mixed bean soup! I made up a big pot of these beans with lots of red and green peppers and lots of chili seasoning, onions, garlic, tomatoes, and giant white corn - a sort of modified posole! It is so unbelievably good! I experimented by adding some whole grain spelt and barley, along with some dried celery, sweet corn, and carrots, beefless beef strips and some beefless beef broth. Oregano and a touch of lime really enhanced the flavor. These mixed beans are perfect for many different kinds of bean dishes and because they are such a good price I can order it bulk and save money. I highly recommend these (my herbs, spices, and seasonings also came from Webstaurant, too)!

Fantastic price for bulk split peas! I love that the product is so pure. There is very little dust, and there are no stray products like rocks, twigs, etc. very pleased.

These dry chic peas are great. We soak them and boil the on our griddle for our salad bar. Customers love that they are fresh and not out of a can. The flavor is good, as expected. Delivery was super fast. The price is goo. I would’ve given this item 5 stars if they were in a bag then put in a box. But they were just in a box that was packed good. Hope this helps

Absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to find these locally in any bulk quantity! I can find small consumer size bags at double or more the cost of these, including shipping. So far they are going over just fine, will definitely order again!

These dried large lima beans are a really great product. They are easy to soak overnight or quickly in the microwave and add to stews or purees.

These are wonderful beans. I used them to make baked beans and soaked over night before cooking several hours. They come packed in two pound bags in the box so they are easy to store. I used a half of bag for a 9x13 pan of baked beans.

Great beans for soup! However, the beans were in a thin plastic bag that tore open as I was putting them in the ingredient bin.

I REALLY HATE TO LEAVE A BAD REVIEW, AND THIS ISN'T THE ONLY BEAN PURCHASE, BUT.... THE SMALL WHITE BEAN WAS MORE MONEY PER POUND THAN SAY NAVY BEAN, SHIPPING WAS QUITE EXPENSIVE, FOUND MANY, (MORE THAN ANY OTHER BRAND OR PURCHASE) OF DEFORMED AND BROWN MARKINGS, EVEN BLACK SPOTS LIKE MAYBE MOLD, FUNGUS OR MILDEW ???? THEN AFTER EXTRA SOAK (24HR) FOUND INCONSISTENT COOK WITH MOST BEANS OK BUT SOME STILL HARD AND TOUGH. TRIED PRESSURE COOK BUT HAD MOST MUSH AND STILL SOME HARD BEANS. ALSO PURCHASED GREAT NORTHERN WHICH WERE MUCH BETTER COOKING BUT THEY TOO HAD MIX OF DIFFERENT BEANS INCLUDED THRU OUT BAGS.

These chickpeas are saving us a lot of money. Soak them overnight, then cook them in the slow cooker throughout the day. Mash them up with some chicken bullion and taco seasoning and they make great meatless tacos.

We have used these black beans since our beginning. People usually ask why not just buy the 10# cans. Bean's arent complicated it just takes a while to cook them. Trust me they are better than the cans. I use a huge stock pot, sit it on the grill on less busy days and end up with 60 lbs of freshly cooked beans. They taste great even after being frozen. This makes one of our fan favorites much more profitable.

I have no complaints at all about the product,has a great flavor and texture.The packaging is awesome for me because it comes in separate 4lb bags.The only thing I don't like has nothing to do with the product itself but the shipping.Bulkfoods offers free shipping if purchasing large quantity like I do.The shipping for these beans cost more than the beans.Really wish that would be changed so I would continue my orders.

Excellent quality and quantity for such a low price! I’m very excited to use these to make canned soups. You can store them as is (in 4 nicely packed bags) or separate into canning jars or storage containers. I plan to can these with some of the dehydrated vegetables and bouillon I have to make ready made meal jars. Just add water and your protein, cook/boil and enjoy! Highly recommend and will buy more when I run out.

These beans are so fresh. Yes, dried beans lose water content as they sit and age, which leads to difficulty and sometimes failure to cook all the way through. These cook to perfect soft pink pillows, yummy. I also like how the twenty pounds is pre-packaged into four each, five pound bags. Or was that five each, four pound bags? I forget. But it's great for storage.
