These cans are packed with quality mushroom slices that taste fresh. We were able to drain and freeze what was not immediately used and they thawed fine later.

You won't find a better buy on canned mushrooms anywhere. I live in the heart of the USA's mushroom growing capital (Reading, PA) and even the Canneries don't come close to the price-point on these. A canned mushroom is a canned mushroom. If the quantity is too large for you, you can divide these 1-gal cans up into sealed, sterile jars, and refrigerate until ready to use. They'll keep for weeks that way.

These surprised me-- much better than the small cans you buy in the grocery. They are so big-- and although tender, they hold up well lightly cooked in recipes. I had to freeze some in useful amounts because there are so many, but I will buy again.

Great tasting mushrooms, got tired of buying fresh and having them go bad so fast, these mushrooms are great and you get so much for the price. Im guessing most people won't go through this much so might be good to bag and store in freezer so you can use them later in stock and soups. Also contacted customer service about ho long it lasts after opened they said about a week so if you cant finish this huge can in a week i suggest freezing a good amount after opened
