Just got my order from Webstaurantstore.com today. Had ordered the chopped clams because I have a great clam dip that has been in our family for generations. Usually I have to purchase the small cans of clams at the store, then spend a lot of time removing the little balls of "guck" from the product and making sure I don't use all the juice because of the "sand" at the bottom. I immediately began making the clam dip and found that the clams were all soft and tender, fantastic, no "guck" and absolutely no "sand" at the bottom of the can. The dip turned out great! I will definitely order again!

Awesome quality! I often make linguine with clam sauce and these are delicious and very affordable to feed a large crowd. I definitely recommend these. I have them in my rapid reorder list!

These clams have a great ocean flavor. You get pretty decent size clam pieces with this brand as well. I use these for making clam chowder.

Instead of purchasing clams in small individual cans, you get your money's worth by buying in bulk. the amount of clams can make a giant soup pot.

I use these clams for a few different applications. I use them for both clam chowder and also clam cakes. I also use them in pasta and use the juice for sauce.

These clams are great for clam chowder. They are still nice sized and not chopped really tiny. They are still plump and juicy and not shriveled up.

We have purchased similar clams from Wholesale clubs, and these clams were by far cleaner with less filler than the other clams. They are pinker and sweeter as well, so may be a slightly different clam then other brands. Overall though we were very satisfied with quality of the clams for use in deep fried fritters and in White Sauce recipe as well.

I purchased 3 cans of the 51oz deep harvest chopped ocean clams for my homemade New England clam chowder, clam dip, and linguini with clam sauce recipes. Living in Florida we harvest our own clams when the water is warm but as it gets colder I use the canned clams for my recipes. Quite honestly it is so much easier because there is no steaming and cleaning involved and they are chopped and ready to use. They are tender as can be and delicious. This is a large can for an excellent price and I would highly recommend you try this product.

These are good clams. We only use clams during lent and it was nice to be able to purchase a few cans instead of having to buy a full case. The price was also much better than from the food distributoe

What is the benefit of buying canned ocean clams? you dont have to clean the clams and get rid of the sand. perfect for making clam chowder soup at a good price

Great price on the product however the shipping made the total cost comparable to just buying from a competitor.

I ordered 12 cans of clams. Two cans were so damaged that they were leaking. Another five cans were significantly dented. These damages WERE NOT caused during shipping. The shipping package was in perfect condition when it arrived. Upon contacting Webstaurant, I was told that all consumable items are final sales and not returnable. I was extremely disappointed. I will never order from them again!

It has been harder to find this size can of clams so I was excited to find them here. The quality is wonderful. They are not gritty at all. It is the perfect size for a large batch of chowder.

Use these claims in marinara, an omelette, or soups. They are delicious. They taste like you fished them right out of the ocean. You will not be disappointed!

If you want a nice, pleasant clam taste that has that hint of "sea sweetness" buy these. Not too salty, nor tough, great sized pieces. I only deducted a star because of the vast quantity of juice inside, compared to clams. What no one ever told you … makes a great clam sandwich! Your favorite tartar sauce especially on a sourdough bread, or better yet sour rye, and American cheese (yeah, I know..) ... toast / grill like a Reuben!

Maybe my can was an exception, but I cannot agree with another reviewer who was happy with the amount of actual clams in the can. My can was, literally, half clam juice. The quality of the actual clams were OK: decent size pieces and little or no sand that is sometimes found in canned clams. But, when I divided the meat into portions, with a reasonable amount of juice, the size of what come in supermarket sized cans, I had about 4 portions, and more than a pint of additional juice. I won't buy this again. If I wanted a can of clam juice, I could have purchased that for almost 2/3 less cost. For chowder, it is the juice that flavors the broth...the clam meat adds little to it. But, I wanted to make clam fritters & croquettes...where the meat is important...and the amount of meat I ended up with was, as I said, a big disappointment.

You cannot beat the value you get for this Deep Harvest Chopped Ocean Clams. I now make one of my favorite soups out of this Deep Chopped Ocean Clams.

We use a lot of chopped clams in pasta and soup recipes, i normally don't buy Oceam clams, i buy Sea clams, yes there's a difference, these were the first i used that didn't stink so we use regularly and save a lot of cash.

perfect for making quick clam chowder new england or manhattan style chowder. use this with the clam broth. not nearly as good as using fresh clams though

These are good for adding texture to your pasta clam sauce or to clam chowders. You can also roll them in light breading and fry them.

I got a can back in January to try them out and I was very impressed with the clams and the fresh taste ( hard to find in a can ) I forgot where I got them until late today so I will be ordering the clams by the case from now on thank you WEBSTAURANT

We do a lot of clam chowder and you cannot beat the price of these clams. They have a great texture and flavor. We are very pleased!
