Terrible quality & grade. Do not recommend this product. You can buy a better grade star anise from your local grocery stores. Many of herbs/spices on webstaurant are very low grade/quality of products.

We use the whole anise to toast to make an in house syrup. The quality and consistency of this product is unmatched. The container is plenty big enough to make sure the anise does not get crushed. We are very pleased.

These are great quality and much more affordable from Webstaurant than any other source I've found. We use them in a winter espresso beverage.

We bought this to add to our homemade wassail for Christmas parties. It made it taste so much better and had a better flavor than simple anise extract. I also intended to do Christmas crafts with the kids, there are many fun ideas on the internet. Hopefully, we'll do it next year, because these are really pretty and aromatic.

this is a good quality and star anise for soup and licorice flavor if you grind it up and add to cookies and breads regal product seem good.

These star anise pods are large and mostly intact without lots of broken pieces. They are fresh and packed with intense flavor. We use them for making Chinese five-spice and for making our own chili oil, and they add a nice licorice flavor to our dishes.

This whole star anise is very aromatic, it's good quality and it will last a long time. I use it for stock, soups and stews.

I am very particular about anise, this product had all perfect seed pods and the anise was perfectly dried and very aromatic. I highly recommend!

Nice, fragrant and a great addition to many dishes by us. It lasts us quite a while too and if you don't need the whole star just break it in a half, still very potent.

I was restocking staple spices and bought this. Recipes call for one or two and I always use more. I used in spice bundles for pho and in my chai blend. It grinds wellwhen I make spice blends.

I just love these regal brand star anise got number of reasons. First I can not find this product in this price anywhere else. Second I like the packaging, I don't have to find another container for storage. Third the quantity of this product, it is enough to last at least for six months.

These whole pieces of anise are perfect for putting in a stock bag for making soup. They will not muddy the soup base like the grounded anise.

This is decent star anise. It has a good anise flavor and smells strongly. I found it relatively easy to grind. You get a lot for what you pay.

I ordered this Anise to make spiced hot cider for our customers. It had a wonderful smell and the spice looked beautiful, not all broken up like sometimes happens. I also used some in my Christmas decorations and wreaths. It was a big hit!

star anise, staple in asian cuisine, I use this in making broth for Pho, really helps to give it depth of flavor, it has that licorice taste to it. sometimes I add a couple when making rice as well for its smell
