This strainer has a finer mesh than the generic strainer I bought from Webstaurant. It’s pricier, but has a nicer finish to it than the generic version. In a commercial kitchen, I would probably go for the generic strainer. But in my personal kitchen, I prefer the OXO product for its nicer hand-feel.
