This is my go to ice shaver. It lasts forever. I have 2 and I'm looking to get another one for my snowball shack. The blade is easy to replace and shaves the ice so finely. My mouth waters and wallet grows just looking at it

It took us some time to figure out how to properly use this!!!! Take your block of ice out at least 30 minutes before you are ready to shave and let it sit. Make sure you have a smooth even block! We had to buy an ice pick to help us chisel the block before putting it in the machine. The machine will only shake if your ice is too frozen or not perfectly even. It’s a learning curve, but is worth it in the long run. We made our money back in a day of selling snowcones!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS. The top plate that is supposed to keep the ice block with a screw type mechanism in place, has spikes for the ice to grip into. The problem is, that you can’t really it get into the ice block without cracking it, which leads to shattering of the ice block, IF you even can get it in. This is a dangerous situation, because it will come off center, when not anchored into the spikes/plate and come flying out of the machine while in use. Again, dangerous situation. Contacted customer service about it, but since we didn’t use the machine for an event that was past the return window, they won’t do anything. So basically money down the drain. It doesn’t come with an ice block mold, so you need to buy Cambros for that, which itself isn’t a big deal, just FYI if you’re still considering buying it. Again, don’t buy it.

Please note, if an ice block is frozen too quickly or it is too cold whenever it is added to the shaver, the ice may develop hairline cracks that compromise the integrity of the block. As set forth in the instruction manual, please allow the ice block to temper prior to operation. While the spike is designed to secure the ice in place, if the ice is compromised or you push down too hard on it, the block will break. To ensure your safety, always ensure that the ice block is centered and secured by the spike prior to operation and that the safety shield is secured in place during operation. This machine shakes and doesn’t shave consistently. I’ve worked with many units over the years and this one by far has been the worst, not to mention it is made with flimsy plastic. You get what you pay for.
