    Completely undependable! Withing two weeks of purchase the first thermo-couple failed. Unfortunately a universal therm-couple will not fit due to the different threading used by the Chinese manufactures on the gas valve itself so had to have my technician order an entire replacement gas valve kit ($300+)....from China! It's been three weeks and the part has still not arrived. Today a second thermo-couple failed. Rather than reorder another replacement part from China and wait for potentially months to receive it, we will likely sell the unit for scrap after a total service life of less than 30 days. Extremely disappointment that Webstaurant, who we trust and have purchased from for years. would offer such a total piece of junk to unsuspecting buyers.

    Bought a few weeks ago still trying to fund why pilot is to big changed Orphis to LP but still have problems to much gas thermostat doesn’t help flam is same size ,,. Pilot is to big too & to light it it’s to far in any lighter to light very very un happy with this griddle to many problems

    This griddle is working good, no doubt about that. We had/still have problems to adjust die pilot flame as it is way too big. We called the hotline and they gave us a number from "whatever". We called and explained our issues and they promised to give us a call back. They never did and we still have problems with the big pilot flame. I guess you are on your own once you bought and paid for the items. The manual must be one from an older production line as it is not even close to what we received. This is NO GOOD !!!

    The griddle is decent but has some shortcomings. First, the edges between the splash guards and the cooking surface are not well sealed. Fluids run between them and inside the unit making a mess to attempt to clean. The right-most thermocouple gave us problems after the first couple of months of use. Eventually, it died completely and is integrated into the control valve so field replacement isn't easy. I've called for warranty service and been told that the earliest repair possible "might" be nearly two weeks. Don't buy from CPG if their service is going to be so deaf to the needs of a restaurant. If we had the money, we'd just replace the unit with a Southbend.

    I bought it a month or so ago, and I just fired it up...well, I tried it, but the Pilot is too big to light it’s too far in any lighter to light to keep the grill lit, very unhappy with this griddle too many problems I contacted Webstaurant, and they sent me to the warranty department. it's been almost a week, and I still have not heard anything.     Where to begin. First, this is an overall solid griddle. I bought this for our food trailer. That being said, the 'simple field conversion' to propane is not so true. First the instructions sent with my 48" thermostatic controlled unit only show the conversion of a manual unit, so throw them out the window. You have to take the front faceplate off to access the orifices for each of the burners to convert to LPG. Then you have to disassemble the underside plates to access the pilot tubes to change out their orifices without removing the top cooking surface to do the same job. Time spent on 'simple field conversion: 1 hour'ish(once we figured how to do it without instructions).     We bought this because it was the size we needed to fit into a crowded space to fill out a full range of equipment. The 15 inch width is perfect - we have used 12 inch griddles and found they are simply too narrow to cook anything. This width is good as long as you do not ave to put too much on it at a time. Big pluses are the very heavy griddle top, and cast iron, which gives you very steady temperature, also aided by the thermostatic control. With a good griddle and precise heat you can really control cooking of a wide variety of items. Main thing to watch is that it is a little say to turn pilot light off, and because that is located deep behind the front panel it takes a long straw to relight.

    This product is great! I love the thermostatic controls. It so much better to set the temp vs. the high low method. One thing is the pilot is really far back so its a little hard to reach. we had to order an extra long lighter so we could reach it easily.

    I purchased this seven months ago. It works as advertised. All and all I'm happy with the unit. My only complaint is the pilot light. It is a challenge to light as it is located about 13" back through a small hole, not reachable with a standard grill lighter. It is very difficult to find the pilot light the first time.
