Turn your countertop mixer into a pasta machine with this convenient Avantco 177MIX8XP #5 hub pasta roller / cutter attachment. When you need to roll out and cut pasta dough, this attachment lets you do both and minimize the equipment needed. You can mix up your special pasta recipe in your mixer's bowl, then use this attachment with the mixer's #5 hub to roll out and cut the dough into the perfect shapes. To use this attachment set, simply open the cap on the front of your mixer (sold separately) and insert the attachment into the hub. Since it runs off of the mixer's powerful 4/5 hp gear driven motor, you can keep up with your low volume demand for fresh basic or artisan pastas.
Since the pasta set includes two cutter sizes, a narrow cutter and a wide cutter, you can choose the one that's best for your recipe. Or, simply roll out the dough to any thickness between 1/64" and 3/32" using the adjustable roller and use your own specialty cutters (sold separately) to make tortellini, ravioli, or any other pasta you desire.
So you have the most space when using this attachment, you can remove the bowl from your Avantco MIX8 series mixer and it will still run if the bowl lift is in the raised position. Note that the mixing head will still rotate with or without the bowl.
