Same model (updated) as the microwaves we prefer. Very good quality and they have historically lasted us many years in our high volume, busy establishment. Much more affordable than through our local supply store.

Great units. they handle anything we ask of them and heat very quickly. Longevity is not great, we usually need to replace or repair these ever 1-2 years.

Works great for about a year, used 100 or so times a day. Locking mechanisms tend to start having issues, not too hard to replace, and not too expensive.
I have had many microwave ovens in the past, but nothing as rock-steady as this. Before the Amana HDC12A2, I purchased an LG Neo-Chef 1,5 cubic foot unit, which most people would consider as an "expensive microwave". However, its durability is no match for the Amana, and the settings for the Neo-Chef are such-that you might as well use the timer anyway. As a rule of thumb: Never trust a household microwave in a commercial setting. But on the other hand, a commercial microwave such as this one makes good sense for someone who wants a microwave that could last a couple decades or more. This one is it!
