This is a good, cost effective option to add a heat lamp where you don't have one permanently installed. We discovered a need for one over our counter-height built in kitchen window. This unit couldn't be simpler -- just plug it in and you are good to go. A couple notes: Each lamp is controlled individually by a switch along the top rail. The lamps are not adjustable in intensity or individual height. You consoled the entire row of lamps up and down, but they are fixed to the unit and can't be adjusted individually.
