I wish I had one of these for hurricane Milton as it was a direct hit for my area, and as it hit after dark, and the power was out, I had no idea what was going on outside while it sounded like tornados bearing down on us. This little radio is handheld, runs ONLY on AA batteries (included), and has am, fm, and weather stations. The sound quality is rather tinny and small, but it's a very small speaker, and when you're listening for vital information rather than for pleasure, it's alright. The antenna is extendable; the menu options are intuitive. I will probably also order a larger ac powered model so I can save this specifically for times when the power goes out.
