For your convenience, this planter can be used indoors and does not come with drainage holes. For outdoor use, drill 3/4" drainage holes in the bottom of the planter. This will help prevent oversaturation of the plants and bulging of the planter walls. For smaller plants or shrubs, it is recommended that you use 10" to 12" of lightweight filler such as lava rock, mulch, wood chips, or packing peanuts.
