Product has a very strong plastic smell when first opened (hopefully it will dissipate after being aired out.) Price is GREAT, but I needed this to replace one NOW and I couldn't use it right away due to the very strong odor. I know, I know, you're saying, "Hey, man, you do know this is made of plastic, right? I mean, it says it right in the description..." There is new plastic smell and there is THIS IS TAKING OVER THE WHOLE BASEMENT SMELL. If I had used this right out of box all my bread would have absorbed that smell and been unusable. Not sure if this will even go away. I had to put the old one back on for now. Will keep you posted.
