Great for use by restaurants, buffets, catering businesses, and banquet halls, this heat lamp keeps prepared foods warm and fresh. It's made with a durable aluminum light head, a stainless steel shade, and brass and stainless steel vertical tube and fittings. It features (1) 500-style 7 1/4" x 7 1/4" x 7 3/8" lamp shade with an attractive stainless steel finish and a clear enamel topcoat that reduces tarnishing for a classic, professional appearance with less polishing. This heat lamp also includes 1 shatterproof 250W Teflon®-coated infrared heat bulb that keeps shards contained, preventing shattered glass from spreading everywhere if your bulb breaks for maximum convenience and safety. The shade connects to a 1/2" diameter rigid, narrow metal stem down tube with a 5 3/16" x 11/16" ceiling canopy. This heat lamp is easy to use with a simple on / off toggle switch. It's made with a convenient ceiling-mounted design that means the ground is wire-free, eliminating a potential safety hazard. It includes a track fitting for effortless mounting onto a compatible track bar (sold separately) and features a suggested clearance of 14"-16" between the bottom of the shade and your countertop for optimum performance. This item features 16 gauge silver-plated internal wiring with Teflon® insulation and a glazed porcelain / nickel lamp socket, both rated to 392 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). It requires a 120V electrical connection for operation. This heat lamp is ideal for use over any product, including meat at a carving station, cooked vegetables in steam pans, or baskets of fresh-baked bread and ensures that your prepared foods taste warm and fresh for your guests!
