Have had to purchase several of these. the plastic at the bottom of the base has broken with many of the pitchers and i have had to replace several times.

I would highly recommend choosing another blender for your needs. The seal around the blade in the pitcher routinely wears out, & the repair kit is almost the same price as the pitcher. We do moderate smoothie sales at our store; we replaced 3 pitchers in 2017 & as of Feb 2018 I have a request for 2 more. Hand washing, etc does not help. We have replaced 0 Vitamix pitchers in the past 2 years, which is what we use at our other store. Stay away!

This is our 2nd container for this blender. The first one gave out within a year of usage. You would think for such an expensive container, they'd last longer? The first one started to drip, and by the end of the year, had a stream of liquid coming out the bottom. We couldn't even figure out what was wrong with it, so we were forced to buy a brand new one.
