When working with chemicals or other hazardous materials it is vital that you have a solution for direct exposure. With the Guardian Equipment GBF2173 surface mounted safety station with drain pan and daylight drain, you can greatly reduce potential workplace injury and protect workers from irreparable harm. Complete with both eyewash valves and a shower head, this safety station can handle full body rinses as well as eye flushes.
The surface mounted design is perfect for walls that can not be easily penetrated, such as concrete or brick. The pull-down style eye/face wash not only looks nicer than a fully exposed assembly, it also remains better protected from incidental damage. To activate the eye/fish wash just simply pull down the "panic bar" and the flow of water will automatically switch on until the assembly is returned back to the vertical position. All waste water is collected in a drain pan and re-directed to an included daylight drain so that you do not need to tie the system into a drainage system.
An ANSI-compliant identification sign mounts directly to the upright of the station for clear direction on operation. Brushed stainless steel pipes and fittings offer long lasting service life. The stainless steel shower head is 10" in diameter and has a 20 GPM flow control. The shower is activated with a pull down rod that controls a stay-open ball valve that will keep the shower head on as long as it is in the downward position. This unit has a 1" NPT female supply inlet.
