Globe has taken significant steps back with this scale. We had their old GS30 scale which lasted a few years. This scale has less features, for example, no way to manually set a tare. We typically have a process for the customer to make their way to the front, and this scale physically requires you to put something on the top to tare. We used to be able to manually set the tare given we use 6 diferent containers that we weigh, but with the GLS30, you have to have each of those containers available at the checkout to tare them when the customer arrives with product in their containers. Also, the technicaly support for Globe is an utter disaster. The people I spoke with on the phone was extremely rude, didn't care to understand my question, and claimed he had to ask his sales staff how you can set manual tare. Really?! Technical support is having to ask sales associates about technical issues?? FAIL!
