We use these cups for hot tea at our restaurant. They are very sturdy but they do seem to get cloudy when used a lot. A lot of our cups have microfractures in them too due to the high temperature of either the hot tea or the dishwasher. The microfractures have absolutely no impact on the usefulness of the cup (ie they don't leak), it is purely cosmetic appearance that changes. They are BPA free so we can ensure that customers are getting the best cups for their hot tea without waste from disposable plastic, Styrofoam, or paper cups.
