Designed to accommodate up to 10 lb. of food product, the scale displays weights in a variety of units, including lb., oz., and grams on the large, easy-to-read LCD display. Plus, being field recalibratable, the unit is easy to adjust over time to ensure all measurements are consistently accurate.
To help guarantee maximum sanitation, this scale boasts several convenient features that make adhering to health codes easier than ever. A unique ClearShield protector covers the scale and display, preventing food juices, grease, crumbs, and other food particles from directly contacting the scale's surface. Because the cover is replaceable, you can ensure that the unit is always as clean as possible, serving only the safest and most sanitary food products. Also serving to promote cleanliness and food safety, the stainless steel platform is removable and can easily be washed.
Prior to use, make sure the scale is set to zero by pressing the 'tare' button. After an extended period of disuse, the unit will automatically shut off, helping to conserve energy. The entire unit is made from durable stainless steel to offer outstanding durability and longevity of each component. This scale operates with a dual voltage AC power supply and features a side-mounted power jack. It can also operate with a 9 volt battery (sold separately).
