What is the difference between these types of straws?
Straws are available in a variety of diameters based on their intended purpose and function. Sip straws are approximately 1/8" in diameter and used for cocktails and sipping on hot drinks. Jumbo straws are often the standard size for various beverages and measure around 1/4”. Super jumbo straws are also around 1/4” in diameter and some even feature built-in spoons for thick drinks. Milkshakes and smoothies are great for drinking out of giant straws thanks to their 5/16" diameters, and colossal straws at approximately 1/2" in diameter are perfect for frozen concoctions.

Paper straws definitely do not last that long in general and we knew this going into it but the colossal sized paper straws seem to fall apart instantly when it's put into liquid. We want to do our part in saving the environment but guests kept complaining so we ended up switching back to plastic straws instead because guests like it better. Super frustrating.

These are great straws and customers love the look of them. We give them out individually but I wish there was a paper wrapper option at least in a small pack to leave out for people to grab. If they stay in the drink for too long they get gooey and gummy so we often have to give out two straws. But they aren't plastic so we are happy!

These are the absolute worst straws we've ever ordered. They unravel and fall apart within 5 minutes upon being added to liquid, and we've had 100% of the customers we've given them to complain and ask for another. Ugh!
