The retractable RTD probe lets you take temperatures from foods that require a core temperature, but if you need to measure items in a display case, salad bar, or buffet, simply switch it over to infrared mode! It has an infrared temperature range of -40 to 536 degrees Fahrenheit or -40 to 280 degrees Celsius with an accuracy of +/- 2 degrees Fahrenheit. The probe has a temperature range of -40 to 392 degrees Fahrenheit or -40 to 200 degrees Celsius with an accuracy of + / - 1 degree Fahrenheit. This thermometer's 3:1 distance to spot ratio means that it doesn't need to come in contact with the surface itself, making your establishment even more hygienic. With a 0.97 emissivity rate and a 0.1 degree Fahrenheit resolution, the accuracy of this thermometer is incomparable.

This item's compact, pocket-sized design fits comfortably in the user's hand. It features a large, easy-to-read backlit LCD display that allows you to view two readings at the same time. The HACCP LED lights indicate when temperatures are within the HACCP safe zone to ensure food safety. This thermometer has min/max memory, 15-second hold, and timer settings for added versatility. You can toggle back and forth between Fahrenheit and Celsius using the F/C button, and the included 9V battery provides 100 hours of use.
