This 6-inch pocket thermometer comes in a pen style with a protective sheath and pocket clip for easy transport when you're on the go. It's guaranteed to be accurate for life, so you can feel assured that you're getting correct reads at your restaurant, bakery, healthcare facility, or school. This thermometer is accurate within 2 degrees and has an easy-to-read digital display that shows accurate temperature readings in 6 seconds or less. The 2 3/4" stainless steel stem with 1.19 mm reduced tip is easy to clean and can penetrate into thin or delicate foods.
This instrument is waterproof in case of spills or accidental submersion, and is made with an antimicrobial additive that prevents the growth of bacteria. With its minimum and maximum functions, you can compare minimum and maximum readings to the current reading. A convenient data hold function allows you to temporarily store a particular temperature reading at the press of a button. This thermometer automatically turns off after 10 minutes of non-use to preserve power, and alerts you when the battery is low. It runs on a 1.5V LR44 battery (included).

Works, simple, fits nicely in my chef coat BUT the "waterproof" description is wildly inaccurate. I submerged this once, (and I don't mean I held it under water for 5mins I mean shoved it in some soapy dishwater, swirled it around some, took it out, and shook it off before trying to scrub it with a towel) because it was really greasy and needed a proper scrub and it nearly died. The faceplate came off in my hand during this as well but I was able to reattach it. There's zero chance this would ever make it through a dish machine. It also turns on if very easy so it's pretty much always on and goes through batteries regularly. It's now relegated to house/backup duty. As a basic thermo it does its job but it's not cut out for commercial use IMO.

I love this thermometer. I’ve bought five or six different thermometers over the last few years and they’ve all been mediocre to terrible at best. Most of them died quickly, were really slow, or just plain inaccurate and unusable. This thermometer blows all of those away. It’s so fast and easy to use, and very accurate. I can get an accurate reading in a matter of seconds, just poke it in and bam. I don’t have to poke around several times or try to finagle the tip to get it to read properly. This thing just works. Really happy with it.
This Cooper Atkins waterproof digital pocket probe thermometer is an essential tool in our kitchen. The thermometer is fast and efficient while being convenient to clip on to our aprons!
